This is the first time in 3 yrs I have been in a JCP...AND IT IS MY LAST. The check out woman was ridiculous. She made us feel like if we did not apply for a credit card we would not get the advertised price/discount. My mother wanted these items for Christmas. I explained my mother hearing aids had broken. I filled out the app for my mom then told we needed to me make a phone call. I finally just said no. I the middle of all this she had to try to sell a cheap bracelet set. She tried to force that. Then she tried to force me to apply...I today her no and she had the nerve to suggest you apply and "just have your mom pay it". What!!! We did not not get the price that advertised on the racks for the items. Ended up paying more...ie...money compact list on display 8.99...we paid 10.99. I would have asked about this, but by this time I was just trying to get us away from this woman ..who had now started asking me how to get hired at my job? If I was not afraid I would go in and return everything.

Lots of great deals to be found, and great memories of shopping @ JC Penney back in the day of the mall. The problem with this store, they have little to NO help. Long lines!! Often they only have one register opened for the entire floor. Have observed this many times. During the holiday or when their having a big sale, you still will find only one register open. A former employee told me that they really do not attempt to hire

Expensive dress clothes but you pay for quality. They have a very limited tie selection which is the main reason for 4 stars. The second reason is I didn't see a single sales associate on the floor during my entire shopping experience.

Typical JCPennys location. Was clean and well kept. Lots of selections to look at. Plenty of registers open and a few employees about doing their jobs. We even found a few things to buy!

I have always liked this chain. I have purchased lots of clothing and household items in years past. Unfortunately, times are changing and the company is struggling. My wife was looking for a certain type of window treatment on this occasion and they did not have what she was looking for. Disappointed, but not terribly surprised. It would be good if this company survives. I will continue my patronage as much as possible.

My husband was trying to check out with a pair of pants and order a pair online in the springfield mo store and the check out person, Delbert, was extremely rude towards him and towards the associate on the phone trying to fix the order. Eye rolls, sharp tones, and rude comments from the person we were trying to pay will make us not come back.

Ordered online and received email when it was ready to be picked up at Battlefield Mall store. I was able to park outside and enter near the pick up desk. Friendly staff and was on my way quickly.

I won't go again. No one to help you. Fitting room closed had to search for another one. Only one check out clerk and a long line. My information came from other customers. One lady was a jewel.

The staff was great and friendly! The store though could use some work. They did a good job of keeping the merchandise organized, but numerous lights were flashing like strobe lights. I hope they can get all of those replaced out at least taken out temporarily. The selection was a little limited too so we weren’t able to find what we were looking for and had to go online.

I had to exchange something to get a bigger size and I couldn't find my receipt, but I told Cindy that she can find the stuff that I bought in my JCPenny account( which she already new that) . She totally ignored me (while a long line formed behind me) just to make me look for my receipt telling me that she can't exchange the stuff if I don't have the receipt. I told her again that she will find it in my account if she'll only look. People behind me started to get really frustrated and she finally decided to look and so she found the stuff that I bought and exchange it. I said thank you even tho she wasn't very nice and she kept ignoring me. She was very nasty and rude.

It is always so hot in the store. Forget trying stuff on without melting (unless you are cold all the time!). I do like their clothes selections.
