We were just out and about and decided to stop by real fast to grab something quickly but as soon as we went in they very rudely told us they were closed and rushed us out the door. Now normally we would have been understanding and just walked out like normal, but they were very unnecessarily rude when they rushed us away. Not cool pet smart

Was there to try to find a fish for my daughter, Amanda was very rude in not allowing her to see the top tanks with the stairs. She was very rude from the get go. I please ask pets Mary fix this because it ruined my girls day.

tl;dr: Groomer let my 16 week old puppy fall from a top kennel ON HIS HEAD and neglected to tell me.
I dropped off my shih tzu puppy at 11am on 2/2/2025. I got a text about 1.5 hours later that he was done. He was only getting a bath, brushout, and teeth brushing.
When I picked him up, at first nothing seemed amiss. However, when we got him to the car, he started gasping and yelping in a way I've never heard before.
We got him home and let him lay out and noticed he was SCREAMING if he put pressure on his left front shoulder.
I called Petsmart and after talking to two people, finally found out what had happened. The groomer failed to fully latch the top kennel my dog was in and he fell out onto the hard floor. They let him walk around a little, decided he was good, and handed him to me without filing an incident report or informing me.
My puppy's growth plates are still open. He also fell ON HIS HEAD. The absolute NEGLIGENCE is disgusting.
Petsmart did pay for us to go to the emergency vet where we got to spend 5 wonderful hours and my poor puppy soiled himself during the wait so... This whole bath was a moot point.
I was enrolled in training classes with them. I visited their store usually twice a week. I am done. I am so angry.
Do not take your dogs here.

Super sad, came in while on vacation and needed a bath and sani trim on my husky. Door and online says walk in welcome.
Unfortunately, I did not get a welcome at all. The 1st issue i ran into is they did not want to look me up and stated bc im not local they couldn't find me.in the computer. I replied I'm military and travel often and ha e been to over 6 States no issue. A back employee stated just enter her number. I immediately popped up. Ideally I wanted the whole shebang. Bath trim etc.. but I explained I was willing to even just do a brush and paw pad trim.
After passing me to a couple employees they told me they can't offer me any services. And gave me the address to a nearby location.
I really thought due to the size of the location we would be able to be seen. Guess not.

Went in to buy a fish for my son. The lady working in that department refused to sell him a goldfish and told him she would only let him pick a beta, which were all dead in their cups. She also refused to help other customers get fish for their start up tank. Will never shop here again.

Went in to buy some fish. But when I walked over to the aquariums there was dead fish and sick fish in most of the tanks. The feeder fish looked healthier than most of the other fish.
This was the first time I had been in petsmart in the last 15 plus years. It really has went down hill.

Easy to find the things I'm looking for, friendly and helpful staff. Very busy on Saturday due to pet adoptions being inside due to the cold.

I’ve been bringing my dog here for a few months now to be groomed and never had an issue when an associate Wendy groomed her . She took her time with her and I was very satisfied, however this last visit I wasn’t happy with. On the website I booked for Wendy just to get a total different associate. I wasn’t pleased with the outcome of my dog . She was a little wet when I picked her up like they didn’t dry her completely, her nails look half done (I paid for grinding) my dog smells like they didn’t give her a bath. I’m not satisfied at all for 80$ I’ll be finding a new places unless they bring Wendy back.

Update: the amount of times they have failed to successfully deliver live crickets is insane. Crickets have arrived dead after a hour+ joyride around town or not delivered at all. Of course, the driver marks it delivered so I have to beg and plead with the store or DoorDash, which results in wasted time, energy, and money. Excuses from everyone instead of a "sorry, let's make this right." You both are staffed by lazy morons. Find a different job!
Normally short staffed, at least since the pandemic. Often shelves are not fully stocked and many of the animal cages are left empty; however, it is a convient place to shop and the rewards system makes up for what it lacks. Although more expensive than Walmart, the staff is more educated on the animals and there is a larger range of supplies and variety. Be prepared to spend money and wait in line, but you'll probably find what you are looking for if you come to PetSmart.

We took our dog for a walk-in grooming visit. We left him and not 15 minutes later received a call that he was done and to come get him. They also said he had fleas, which we didn't know. We had just treated him recently and he hasn't been scratching. We told them we'd be there as soon as we could. We were less than 5 minutes out and they called again saying if we didn't get him in 5 minutes they would charge us a handling fee. We got there and went to get him. We apologized, explaining we'd just treated him recently and hadn't seen him scratching any more so we thought he was good. We've had him for over 10 years and we've treated him for fleas many times over the years. Usually no scratching has meant no fleas so, maybe we were naive but, has no reason to think differently this time. Every single groomer stopped what they were doing and just stared at us, talked to us like we were dirt, and charged us a handling fee. Luckily the manager felt differently and removed the handling fee. However, the groomers didn't do everything we paid them to do. I understand about the fleas and the need to get him ASAP so no other animals could've gotten fleas from him (agayfelt terrible but didn't realize he still has any). However to charge us for services not rendered isn't right. They should've told us we needed to reschedule once we retreated him. Guess what? We're not the only dog or cat owner who has treat d their animals and the fleas stuck around. Apparently this year is a bit worse for fleas than previous years. We've treated our poor dog like three times and finally got rid of them. However, PetsMart will not recyany further business from us, my mom nor anyone we know. I don't care who you are, EVERYONE deserves to be treated with respect. A lesson those groomers need to learn. They humiliated us in front of others and talked to us so disrespectfully. Now many may see this and say it's our fault for not knowing he had fleas. Yes, maybe we should've double checked him but, again, past history told us we didn't need to. We will now. But, that still didn't give nor, does it give, anyone the right to treat anyone so disrespectfully.

We took our dogs to get groomed here twice. The first time I thought everything had went okay. She was excited to go in an excited to see me when she had come out. When we took her back the second time, she resisted going into the grooming section and fought me going in which is not normal for her, even at the vet. We tried brushing her after her appointment, and when I put the brush close to her chest, she will flinch back and snarl her teeth at me. She is the sweetest dog and has never done this until we brought her to PetSmart's grooming services. I can confidently say that we have never hit her with a brush, but we have a strong enough feeling that one of her groomers did that we will never bring her back. I have no other reason why she would love to be brushed and then all of a sudden after her grooming appointments be flinching every time a brush is near her and snarling her teeth so we can't put the brush near her.

Don't you dare forget that you have signed up for puppy classes. Because they will not give you your money back if you do not go. I find that ridiculous they could have at least issued a store credit. Customer service there has always been very spotty so i'm just not very impressed.
I'm finding that most people working at pet stores today. Don't want to help you at all.

Like any chain store their stock of fish isn't usually the healthiest but their pricing is competitive.
