“We absolutely love Little Sunshine’s Playhouse on Chestnut! Both of my children attend, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and the care they provide. Every teacher and staff member we have interacted with has been kind, caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in the children.

My kids are excited to go every day and come home talking about the fun activities, crafts, and learning experiences they had. The curriculum is engaging, and I love seeing all of the creative projects they bring home.

One of my favorite features is the app. I receive updates and pictures throughout the day, which gives me peace of mind and lets me feel connected to my children’s day even while I’m at work. Seeing their smiles and the activities they’re participating in always brightens my day.

Most importantly, I trust the staff completely with my children. As a parent, there is nothing more valuable than knowing your kids are safe, loved, and well cared for when you’re away. The team at Little Sunshine’s has consistently exceeded our expectations, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do. Anna Buckmaster and Ashton Lamb are our current teachers and we adore them.

“I take my 2 & 3 year olds here and they have so much fun and love their teachers! They don’t come home dirty and sometimes don’t want to leave which makes my mama heart very happy! Highly recommend them if you’re in search of a trustworthy daycare!”

“Excellent daycare. Caters to children with Autism and other medical disorders. Teaches children several Pre-School subjects, loving and safe environment. Offers healthy breakfast, morning snack. Lunch and afternoon snacks.”

“My son went here for close to 4 years if not longer, when he graduated from here (yes they do a graduation with cap and gown when they graduate from pre k and it’s the cutest thing ever) when my son started Kindergarten he was way ahead in his academics. I could tell within the first few months how much he enjoyed being there and going everyday. Even after my son started Kindergarten I have needed help a few times with somewhere for him to go during the day and she allowed me to drop him off and pay by the day. They are truly like family here and they are family owned. I recommend this learning center to everyone I know. I know if I ever had another child I would not take my kiddo anywhere else but here. I absolutely love what they do here. Thank you for doing what yall do for all of the kiddos”

“We have really enjoyed sending our little one here. It’s been a year and a half and the following has been our experience:

- ran into a few minor obstacles when our child first started attending at 6months. Each time, Emily was more than willing to hear us out and address our concerns. She really strives to build relationships and trust with families and I appreciate that about her so much.
- I once expressed a concern that I didn’t love that there were times when floaters weren’t able to tell me how my child’s day was. they’d say “idk, I just got here but I think fine.” When I explained to Emily that it would be helpful for the teachers to communicate that information to each other so parents can hear just a little bit of our child’s days after being away all day, she listened and took in every word. She also address my concern immediately. This conversation took place over a year ago and it has hardly been a problem since.
-with that, I have loved the conversations we get to have with the teachers when we go to pick up our child.
- our child gets so excited to go to school that he jumps up and down and screams the names of his teachers and his friends in class that he will get to play with. SO excited. That alone is enough for a five star review
-the turnover rate you see in previous complaints has gone down quite a bit, especially since Emily took over as director. Emily strives to take care of her teachers and they stay and take great care of the kids in response.
- my child feels safe around the adults at school, and the teachers make it a point to know the kids (even if just by first name) even if they are not in the direct room or his direct teacher. It brings such a community feel and I enjoy watching how attentive they are with the kids. When they tell their students “I love you!” I believe them. My child loves them just as much and sees his teachers as an extension of his family. That means the world to be.
-they actively work with the kids. Story times. Art. Letters. Numbers. Colors. It’s amazing what he comes home with and he’s not yet 2.

I am incredibly appreciative of these ladies, both office staff and teachers and I’d recommend this daycare to anyone.”

“My son has gone to Kerri’s since he was 7 weeks old, he is now almost 4. He has learned so much here and is ahead of the game for his age. Kerri and her staff have always been kind and more than understanding, while still respecting the regulations and obligations of caring for children. I trust that my kid is in good hands here!”

“This is by far the best daycare I have ever been to. The Owner is an Incredible Woman and one I have known for many years. Both of my kids have went to this facility and I have NEVER had any issues. I know that seems bizarre with it being a daycare, but I I can tell you I have not had any problems with this place. The staff are incredible when it comes to meeting your Childs needs and they go above and beyond each and every day. There is not a high turn over rate with this place and the staff that have been there have been there for years. The Owner takes pride in her facility and the Staff do as well. You will not find a better daycare in the Springfield area that will treat your kids as well as this place does. You will NOT be disappointed with the level of care this place provides.”
