Carla went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me today. She was unbelievably helpful and kind. I had a series of long international flights and was stressed, but she strived to go well beyond her job duties to help me.

Car experience was ok. Insurance was very expensive $40.Reason for 4 stars: Needed a receipt, waited a long time for one and a lady finally said they would email it since they were busy. I haven’t seen a receipt and will now need to spend time on the phone with them to get it. If it’s difficult to get a receipt I may not use thrifty again. I’ll update review once I know more.

The staff are very friendly and prices are reasonable, even with the young driver surcharge. My only complaint is about the car I reserved being unavailable, though I was given an upgrade at no additional charge. I will happily rent from Thrifty again.

Good shuttle service and they didn’t throw any extra fees on or try charging any type of gas fee. Will use them again when I come back. Quick pick up and return!

Very nice workers Carla, Chris, Eldridge but the manager and those above are terrible. I won't be back unless management changes but keep the greater staff.

DO NOT USE THEM. PERIOD.. The fees they tact on will double your bill. The lady had me sign the rental agreement after she charged my card. Then I found out my trip was outside the travel area. Too late to cancel the rental... she spent 30 mins of my check in time on the phone with my car insurance company trying to make sure I had full coverage, charged my card then printEd the paper and had me sign it. Go outside and the car she gave me said "maintenance required". Ask for another car. This car brakes squealed leaving the lot (and the entire trip) Bluetooth did not connect to my iPhone, car had 92xxx miles on it. and I had to pay $600 for a 3 day trip. So disappointed the the entire experience from companies policy and procedure, customer service, quality of vehicle, transparency of fees and policy. The girl charge me for a 24 hour extension and schedused it for the same day 8 hours later. From 6am to 2pm. That is not 24 hours. Do not rent with them!

Booked through Expedia and purchased Collision Damage Protection through Expedia for insurance coverage. The morning of the rental, i was trying to contact the office from the airport but the phone number listed on their website was the airport skypark so no way to get ahold of them. Thankfully a shuttle driver dropping another passenger off saw me waiting and took me to the rental office. When I arrived, I had the rough experience of turning up to Thrifty at 6:30am, having paid for Expedia’s collision damage plan, and not being allowed to pick up the car rental because they did not honour the insurance plan through Expedia. This led to a stressful morning of being stranded at a nearby car rental (which they did shuttle me to, thankfully) trying to find an alternate transport option to get to an important meeting a state away. Upon trying to get a refund for the collision damage plan, Expedia would not refund the amount because Thrifty had not specified that the rental was not used due to the insurance not being honoured. It was a small amount, but frustrating to have paid for it when the collision damage plan seems like a waste of money if it won’t be honoured at car rentals and also that Thrifty hadn’t listed through Expedia that they required more insurance, which seems silly for a car rental based at an international airport where travelers may not have insurance. The only redeeming quality was the lovely shuttle driver who picked me up from the airport and was kind throughout this stressful morning. Sadly I wouldn’t recommend Thrifty or booking through Expedia.

Flew into STL from Detroit. We scheduled a rental car from Thrifty through Southwest. Our flight was delayed by weather so we didn't arrive to the car rental shuttle until 9:45. Waited for a shuttle to pick us up for 20 min with another couple who also had a delayed flight. We found out that Thrifty just shuts down at 10:00?! Just stranded until a lovely shuttle person from budget said they probably had some cars No contact number, other than leave a voicemail from Thrifty. How does a rental car company stay in business We won't be using Thrifty again.

Along wait at STL, to be taken to a dirty car in a sketchy location. Unfriendly employees to boot! The good news is that it was relatively cheap and ran well enough to get me to Quincy and visit with my son. Returned easily a few days later and an uneventful ride back to the airport. I'd probably use them again, on price alone.

This was a last minute rental so I was not sure what to expect. When we arrived to pick up the vehicle, the staff members were friendly and accommodating. They provided clear explanations and offered excellent recommendations for activities to do in the city and restaurants to visit. The price was fine, and we received a vehicle with ample size for us, and the one we received was clean. However, the experience was not as enjoyable when we were returning the vehicle. Despite this, since we were on our way out, we didn't let it bother us too much. The gentleman van driver's behavior was certainly displeasing, leaving me with a negative impression. Nevertheless, my main priority was to reach the airport safely and without any conflicts.

The front desk employee has really poor attitude. The car given to me has 85,000 miles on it, and scratch everywhere, the top roof dozens of coin size dent. The guy refused to give a different car. Very unique experience, if you have any other choice, do NOT use Thrift STL.

The worst service ever. I had a car rental didn't get it because the service representative didn't understand what the All-State insurance representative ment when discussing my insurance policy.

I made a last minute car rental reservation and as consequence ended up at Thrifty. The Thrifty folks were quite helpful. This place is bit further from the airport.

Airport shuttle took forever. Car was a super cheep Kia Forte with 80k miles in beat up condition. Initial quoted rental rate was low but ended up being way more than I've ever paid for a rental after overpriced insurance and fees. Thrifty feels a lot like a payday loan shop with signs everywhere about how you must provide proof an airline ticket and full coverage insurance for your personal vehicle (unrelated to your rental, they just want to know). Would hate to have an actual bad experience with Thrifty. They're basically the only rental agency I'll never rent from again.
