I had volunteered at Five Acres several years ago, but tonight was the first time I’d actually adopted from there. I saw little Cleo on their Facebook page, immediately filled out an application, and called to make sure I could go see her. The entire process was seamless. She’s in foster status until she can get her regular heartworm test (delayed just due to the holidays), but Five Acres was fantastic to work with.

I love 5 acres so much they care about the pets and the owners. I will definitely be back in the future for another fur baby. Very nice classy place too. I love the environment.

Years ago I had a bad experience with this shelter. (It was actually a blessing in disguise because I wouldn’t have my beautiful Westie for 15yrs) Fast forward, since my dog passed, my family and I was looking to adopt. I gave FAAS a chance and boy was that a mistake. This shelter seems like the only one that wouldn’t allow you to see the dogs in person, (you have to look online) and when we decided to look at the cats, they make you fill out an application Just To Look. It was all too much. We were just trying to adopt. This unfortunate situation was another blessing. Thanks FAAS! My family definitely will Never return.

The staff are always nice and extremely helpful!! I rescued one cat there a few years ago. I'm getting ready to rescue another one. His name is Ripley!! ❤️❤️My husband took the picture.

Five Acres is fantastic. We adopted our 2 sweet kitties here! They truly care about who adopts the animals here, but at the same time, the application process wasn’t too tedious. The animals room’s are well maintained and the staff are very friendly!

Five Acres has the most passionate, caring and dedicated staff and volunteers you'd ever meet. You can feel it when you walk through the doors. I am proud to have seen the organization grow since I became involved in 2011.

We got our sweet boy, Tucker, from Five Acres on Halloween Day in 2020. I hope he loves it here as much as we love him. He loves being the boss of the ranch -- well, he loves being the boss of pretty much everything! I do appreciate that Five Acres was looking out for his best interests in wanting to place him on a farm. Blue heelers love to work and have lots of energy to expend, and living here gives Tucker a job and lots of exercise. I will say, tho, that he doesn't NOT work the night shift. I've never seen a dog more scared of the dark than Tucker -- haha! We are grateful to his shelter buddy, Patti, for taking such good care of him until we found him.
