Rooms are ok. I had to move rooms because housekeeping simply did a poor job on cleaning. After moving rooms, I still felt like the room was not up to Hilton Standard, but I had no choice to move. Hotel is conveniently located to the interstate, but nothing is within walking distance. Average.

I wish there was a way to give no stars. Don’t stay at this location! I am an Honors member and I frequent Hilton hotel. I stayed at this property before and it was a much better experience. Ownership or Management must have changed. The fire alarm woke my family up at 1:30/2 am, I called down and they said it was not a drill. I had to wake up my baby and son and my husband who has a disability and was barely able to walk. It took us 2 hours to get the kids back to sleep so when housekeeping started knocking on our door at 11 I informed them we had already requested a late check out until noon but because we didn’t get much sleep, I asked if we could have until 1pm. The front desk clerk advised she had to ask the GM and would call me back. I didn’t receive a call but housekeeping knocked again and stated they tried calling our room and the phone was off the hook and they couldn’t reach my phone listed on my account. I advised our phone was not off the hook and the phone on my account was my home phone. She said they couldn’t let us stay until 1 and I told them we were packing up as fast as we could and the kids were finishing eating. One minute later we get someone beating and kicking the door. I answered and advised we were packing up as quickly as possible. She said she was the supervisor and we needed to leave NOW! She had a manager on the phone listening. I again told her that we were packing up as fast as possible but keep stopping to answer the door. 2 minutes later the manager is at the door saying I was yelling at her employee. I told her we were packing and waiting for the callback we never received for additional time. They both said we can’t stay until 1pm and we needed to leave. I went on to make sure they knew we were up all night with police and firefighters in the building and we were doing our best. They continued to argue with us we got a luggage cart and got out of the room as quickly as possible. I have never been harassed this way at a Hilton property. My son is terrified and crying because he’s afraid and doesn’t understand why this happened. To accuse guests of leaving the phone off the hook and not answering their home phone is ridiculous! The housekeeping staff was unprofessional and the manager on duty was even worse. Then we receive an email receipt with a $50 charge for late check out even though the extra 45 minutes was spent being harassed and yelled at to get out was because they kept beating on the door and stopping us from packing! I was never told we would be charged while waiting to see if we could have additional time. I was in tears speaking with Honors customer service. I will never stay at another Hilton hotel again!

The staff at this hotel was so amazing. Chef James worked so hard on breakfast. He was super friendly and went over and beyond. This Hotel is absolutely Beautiful! The staff at front desk is super sweet and helpful! Abby April and Jingles were super helpful at the front desk and our stay was fabulous! The breakfast was really good too! This hotel is so close to so many great shops on Main Street and great restaurants! Our room was very clean and we had a great view of the sunset!We would definitely recommend this hotel and we will be back soon!Rooms: Clean rooms and bathroomsBeds were comfyNearby activities: Casino is close Main Street is closeSafety: Nice area for walking biking and shoppingWalkability: Close to Main Street and so much more!

Hilton Honors check in, 1st room, not even clean, with old lemonade bottles and keys from previous check out. Next room....no ice bucket, mold in shower entrance, shower head so stopped up, bearly sprays. Couch in King suite, arm ripped and shredded at one corner.Not a well kept hotel whatsoever, and the makeover is cheap garbage for a Hampton Inn, basically a 2 star dump, very disappointed Hilton Honors member, whom has never had issues with any Hampton Inn previously.

me & my family stay here all the time. chef james in the kitchen is one of the best cooks! we appreciate everything he has done for us. our daughter always requests we come to hampton specifically for james as he always makes her days!! the front desk ladies always are willing to go the extra mile for us. we love it here. i definitely recommend to anyone. clean comfortable beds, clean pool, wonderful breakfast. great staff & all around probably the best hotel in saint charles we have stayed:) 5/5

A little hard to find the entrance at night but the hotel is still relatively new so they may get better signage.Very nice rooms with good layout.

Kenny was pleasant, professional, and friendly upon check-in. Easy to do.The room was just OK. I noted a hole in the bed cover and pink mold in the shower corners. Breakfast was typical - mostly prepackaged, but nowhere at this price point is making much fresh. They did have nice fresh fruit. The coffee bar was well stocked, too. Solidly ok with nice front desk sevice.

We reserved a block of rooms for our son's wedding. The hotel is in a great location close to restaurants and activities on Main St and Streets of St Charles. The hotel staff was great to check in our guests and give them a gift bag we had put together. I know this is an extra step for them and they did it with pleasure. The breakfast area was a great place for all of us to gather. The man in charge of breakfast takes his job seriously and really has customer service in mind. We really appreciated our stay and the staff.

I'm really not sure how to overall rate, I will just describe my experience. I do like the location. It was easy to get to, had gas stations, and restaurants nearby for anything that we could have or did end up needing. Near the interstate, I personally didn't experience any noise from the interstate like other reviews state, unless I was outside. Checking in was super fast and easy. the lobby looked great it was open and appeared to be clean, and I did not inspect the lobby for cleanliness. When we were in the room, we could tell it was needing a deep clean that it was only made to look clean but not actually very clean. Our second night there my daughter found a bug on her pillow, I quickly got rid of it because she has a fear of bugs and I didn't want her to see and work herself into anxiety attack. That led to her searching around the room, found another bug on the floor after getting rid of it (all bugs found were soaked in toilet paper and flushed). We tore her bed down and searched for more, Im sure there were a few fuzz balls from clothes, but also found dead bugs as well. Found an ant on a pillow while remaking the bed. If you're wondering if what I found were bed bugs, I also wonder and just hope I didn't bring any home. The employees were amazing and friendly, the breakfast area was hard for them to clean up after each guest use of tables so cleaning a table for us to use wasn't an issue for me, but to some that could be an issue. I want to say we would stay here again, but I don't think we will. There were just too many alive and dead bugs. Also the walls are thin, we were able to hear everyone, even above our room. But thats a minor issue to me, but it could be a deal breaker for someone else.

Called for early check in, earliest they could do was 2pm. Arrived at 2:36, they said it would be another hour for the room to be cleaned. Check in time is 3pm.After a 7 hour drive and a wedding to be in at 5pm this is absolutely unacceptable.The manager did zero. A proper manager would have jumped in that room at our initial request.

The Hampton Inn & Suites St. Charles Old Town Area is a really delightful hotel. The staff were all very friendly, check-in/out super quick and the room decor is excellent. Very Close to Old Town St. Charles.

Me and my children just checked in. They did accommodate an early check in and the process (non-existent) was nice. I am a hotel GM, so perhaps I’m a little picky. But for the money I paid, I expected more.My digital key would not work at all (on my phone). I’d previously checked in online, I had my Bluetooth on and I tried many times but it wouldn’t work. I went back down to the desk, after setting all of my items on the floor outside my room and leaving my children by the door. They hadn’t checked me in yet. They made me actual key cards but I assumed my digital key would work once I went back up and it didn’t. I used the key card.I was very surprised to see the state of the room and to feel the beds when I entered the room. I understand the room walls being covered in scuff marks but me and my staff spend hours, daily, cleaning our hotel walls and I just didn’t expect the entire room to be covered in them. The bed is pretty hard. I haven’t slept yet and I’m a little nervous because just sitting on the bed is not comfortable. Being the GM of another hotel, the first thing I do when I check into a room is check out the cleanliness and this room didn’t appear to be cleaned very well. There was a plastic item left in the fridge, the fridge is also dirty, the floor was pretty dirty, the shower curtain is yellow and dirty, the bathroom and bathtub is dirty. The room doesn’t look like it was cleaned very well. And there appears to be pet hair on the bed and floor.We may need another night stay but I don’t think we are going to stay here after tonight. I’ve already called around and a lot of the local hotels are booked already so we will stay here tonight but this room is too dirty to spend any more time in. Very disappointed for the price I paid. I will edit this review if they make it right.Rooms: The room we stayed in isn’t very clean.Nearby activities: There are lots of things to do nearby. The casino is literally right across the street. There are shops, restaurants, a movie theater, a comedy club and lots of bars and shopping.

Avoid this place. Bed felt like an elephant sat on one side of it. Incredibly uncomfortable and just an awful nights sleep. Have never stayed in such a dirty hotel.Bathroom floor had all sorts of interesting hairs all over. You'll need to knock off all the dirt and food crumbs from your shoes that came from under the breakfast tables before getting in your car.I'd rather use the external fire escape ladders instead of stepping foot inside the elevators. There was more dirt, crumbs, trash, and who knows what else on the floors in the elevators.Not sure any floor in the place has seen a mop or vacuum.Icing on the cake, the front desk supervisor was just plain rude and refused to acknowledge there were any issues and had no interest in hearing any concerns of mine. I wasn't even being a Karen. Just an uncalled for attitude from the front desk supervisor.You'll have a more pleasant and clean stay at a nearby Airbnb under the highway by the river.

Very pleased with our visit! The room was huge, plenty of space for activities. Plenty of towels, love the complimentary soap brand. Very clean room! Will definitely stay here again when in the area.
