This is a terrible pharmacy. Rarely do they have basic ordinary prescriptions in stock.
Today I was on hold with the pharmacy 3 separate times today for a TOTAL of about 90 minutes trying to find out the status of One Prescription. No Luck. The phone system at the Walgreens I use "Automatically Disconnects" My phone calls.
This Sloppy Service isn't a One Off for Walgreens. I'm moving my business to Mercy Pharmacy. They actually answer the phone and keep you up to date on any issues.

Well today was my final time in my 20 year long relationship with Walgreens, after three pharmaceutical pick ups that were subpar to downright horrible.
Kimberly the pharmacist there is a terrible leader, wildly unprofessional , and overtly rude. My guess is her attitude causes some of the others to act the same. Starting with her, followed by the young man with the dark hair who is the most non communicative person I have ever met in a position like his. Doesn’t speak, doesn’t make eye contact, and doesn’t answer your questions, in fact ignores full on.
I watched Kimberly in action for 45 minutes last time I came in, as they once again bungled my pick up. And though I was quiet and patient, ( I could see they were stressed and slammed) no apology ever came for the wait we had.
And today,,, Kimberly verbalized how much she hates her job / customers twice. For everyone to hear!!! 🤣
When I mentioned, to the tech Yasmine ( very sweet young lady) that I waited 45 minutes last month and could we maybe find a solution to keep this from repeating every month, Kimberly, from 15 feet away, loudly turned and said” you could never have waited that long” A. I was not speaking to her. B. I don’t lie.
So she called me a liar. 🤔 In front of her staff and 2 other customers, then followed that comment up with how bad she wants to quit her job. I told her I hoped her comments were not pointed at me, and explained that not only did I not complain last month, I was not complaining now , but instead seeking a solution.
This all went down right after Kimberly’s very loud yelling match with a customer at the window. I guess I was just her next target though she went on, again loudly, about how she could not figure out what the customer was so mad at her.Did not seem all that hard to figure out.
Isn't a pharmacist assumed to be an educated, well balanced person … filling your scripts! 😳( slightly scary). Two minutes later she was going out of her way to talk FAKE sugar sweet to the following customers. When really she needed to say to me, the customer she called a liar, hey I had a bad moment, and kinda lost it., please forgive me and I gladly have done so.
So today, after a 40 minute ordeal to pick up scrips that were already supposed to be ready, they needed to close for lunch, all while I was still on the phone with the people they asked to call to try to fix their ineptitude, and with two of four scripts on the counter. I tried to pay.
They said no , took my scripts away without even knowing of maybe someone needed them today and wanted me to wait I guess while they had lunch?? ( another 30 minutes) They must assume none of their customers work. And or they just don’t care. I am gonna go with that do not care and it’s systemic.
Anyway, I was mistreated epically for zero cause, and I have to say goodbye. I am sure they won’t miss anyone leaving their multi billion dollar corporation, but I feel good about it. I am moving all of our scripts to CVS. I guess we I’ll see if they too are miserable , hate their jobs and the customers who help to keep them employed.🤷♀️ The most miserable crew I have ever come across. The funny part is they think they have it tough. At my store EACH of our crew serves hundreds of customers every day. And after 45 years in it , retail can be brutal. But my crew work 10-11hours in the rain, wind, snow, cold, hundred degree weather, and everything in between. And they never ever possess or show an attitude like this crew does. Walgreens needs to clean house starting with Kimberly the pharmacist.

6/29/2024 around 12:00. My wife went in for a quick purchase of a graduation card and was yelled at and insulted by Rick’s behavior at the cash register. Their card reader sometimes has issues reading our debit card and it can take a couple try's to go through. The other cashiers in the past have been very understanding and helpful; he did the complete opposite. I’ve never had a “man” talk to my wife like he did, to the point of her crying. He’s lucky the only thing i did was take our business elsewhere. Fire that animal.

I love pharmacy employees there. One of them was super nice, kind, helpful, and also attractive. I think I just had a crush on her. I’ll go and shop at this Walgreens more often now! lol

This Walgreens store is our new pharmacy and store. They don't have a drive through for pickups and I think that makes all the difference. Pharmacist is professional and does not insert his ego into a customer's prescription. I heartily encourage the customers that have enduredawful experiences at the Elm St Walgreens to transfer your pharmacy needs and other trade to the West Clay location. Walgreens should reward the West Clay employees for keeping the Walgreens standard for employee conduct and customer service.

Service at Walgreens has gone downhill for years now. The attitude of the workers is not great most of the time either, especially if you ask for anything that isn't easy.I took the prescription to Walgreens at Old 94 and Muegge. I told them I needed it Friday or Saturday, they said ok. Then when I go to get it Friday I’m told it won’t be ready until Monday, the day of the colonoscopy. I told them that would not work I need it today. So they said the Bridgeton store would fill it.I had a coupon for colonoscopy prep medicine. Evidently it was 2 days past expiration so they would not honor it. The other coupon I had was for CVS only, I should have gone there. I had to pay $60.After 35 years of using Walgreens for my prescriptions, I am done.

I've been using this pharmacy since I moved to the area 8 years ago. I've had to talk to the pharmacist personally(Irene?)about a few things and we have never missed a day of medication due to a pharmacy error. I know Walgreens is getting a lot of bad press, but these folks are part of my village and I appreciate them. The store is well stocked and everyone is happy to help.

Sales rep Dominic has extremely bad customer service. While asking a question rep interrupted me while speaking as well and told me “I can keep speaking but he knows what he’s talking about!”

The pharmacy has not been able to keep up. Wait times are long. Staff isn't friendly. Walgreens needs to figure out better processes or attract better employees.

This place has become derelict in the past few months. They have a “long wait due to pharmacy employee shortage” sign for 2 months. I just figured out after 2 years, how to navigate their online platform to edit your requested time of delivery; it does not prompt you when you order the prescription. I waited in line for 20 minutes as the second car in line in the pharmacy drive-thru. I had to leave before they even acknowledged my presence. I have to move my prescriptions now because I have been in withdrawal from my medicine for 3 days now because they close before 6 on Friday through Sunday, and their lines are too slow to get through in my busy schedule. I understand that positions are hard to fill nowadays, but a pharmacist is a $100k+ salaried position so the current economic situation should not theoretically affect this; it appears to be poor management. My dad was the DM for this store 15 years ago and this never would have happened on his watch.

Walgreens is like Walmart now. Inefficient employees. Things don't ring up discounted when they are clearly marked. Cashiers are slow and ill-equipped/poorly trained.
