Oreo gets groomed once a month and is very nervous dog and I’m extremely appreciative of how they treat her. Brie especially is communicative with me and is so affectionate towards Oreo. It’s really nice to go in somewhere and be recognized. Despite being a chain, this location is warm, friendly, and caring.

Petco (St. Joseph, Missouri) posted hours are 9a-8p Mon-Sat 10a-7p on Sunday. Tonight we get there at 7:45p and the doors are locked except to let people out. The lady in front of us wanted in and was refused. I know it's aggravating to have shoppers in past closing and we are not the type to run in at the last minute and slowly shop. If it's close to closing we will only go for one thing and not lallygag. If they're not going to follow their posted hours why post them? We drove all the way across town to not shop there. That's ok because we found what we wanted across the road at PetSmart. This Petco store will now be a last resort in the future.

lost 12 fish. petsmart and petco use the same distributor we also spoke to him to confirm this. he said the fish should and need to be quartined before sales. petsmart confirmed they did. we bought fish before we knew this and all 12 died over 9 hour period.... they suffered and died... cause they were sick our ph is 7.5 the tank was perfect no other fish it was ready for new fish we floated the fish added new tank water to the bag and let em float bait more and then let em in about 15 mins later.. my glofish and loach died with a hour 5 fish gone that quick. the dainos died next bout hour later and the gourami went 1 by 1... I paid 90$ for all these fish... to let them die. .... like j don't understand how that is ok and no one had any remorse they just wanted to argue and make us seem like we're at fault... when corp confirmed it was a bad shipment!

You should be proud of your employees. A few days ago I brought in a half-starved baby kitten. We had just found him and I had him wrapped in a towel. I have ZERO supplies for a situation like this and one of the employees watched the register so another girl could walk around the store and get me what I needed. She even offered to help me to my car, as my hands were full carrying the kitten and all the supplies! This is great customer service, and I appreciate their help. And you should know that the kitten is doing very well!

Horrible service. Manager was rude and made my 10 year old cry. Refused to sell us a fish because she said we didn't have the proper size tank. We have a judge tank with one fish.

Very rude. Hard to find any one available to help. When they where, they did not let me finish answering their questions before cutting me off. Instead of helping me understand what I needed and why, I was told "yep". I felt like my being there was like an annoying fly, 'shoo'.

Way to lose business! Just spent $88 and entered my reward card info. It didn't come up in the system. The last time, the cashier scanned something to "make sure" I received my savings. Not so today. The flippant cashier told me there waa "no way" for me to get my savings today because the system "must have kicked out my card for inactivity" and that even if I put in for a new card I could not get the savings today. In fact, I am going back inside to return my entire purchase.

I have an older dog who has been going to this grooming salon for 2 years. I called for an appt. Friday and gave my info. They found my dog's name in the system and set an appointment for this morning @10. At 9 I called to confirm my appointment and by 10 arrived to drop off my dog. The grooming manager informed me that she could not accept my dog due to her history of rare seizures despite that she had seen she'd been going for 2 years and had not had any issues. I was told

I just visited petco today & looked at the cats. The cats cages were a mess, their cat litter was all over in the cage and also in the food. All of the isles were a mess also.

We had a training class there and it was so good. I have a very stubborn, very picky American Bulldog and the trainer Garrett was so great, helping to get him to listen to me. I absolutely recommend the training and grooming salon.

Went in to get Betta supplies and had the best help by Mark. He really knew his stuff when it came to plant care, proper plants for bettas, and proper water treatment, as well as steps to take for various illnesses a Betta could get or already have when purchasing from a pet store. Highly recommend this place for fish and reptile supplies and the fish and reptiles themselves.

We have been taken our puppies to get groomed for a while now. It seams the last couple time the have been slacking. Today I dropped them off at 8am. It should have been a few hours. Give or take if they were busy. About 12:00, I decided to run into town for other things. We live 20 min outside of town. Still no phone call letting me know they were ready at 1. Since I was right they time to stop by and see if they were ready. Yup they were. I asked why I didn't get a phone ca
