Our experience with Alamo was far superior to Hertz in STL. The vehicle options were VW jetta, dodge charger and Chevy impala. They were clean and what we expected. The employees were friendly including the shuttle drivers. Would use Alamo again as their price was less than other rental companies and the vehicles were nicer than Hertz has too.

The possible worst experience. Didn’t have the car we booked weeks in advance. Traveling with three children under 5 is hard enough, made harder by the incompetence and lack of customer empathy. Avoid at all costs.Updated: I do want to call out that the counter staff were very considerate. Their desire to help was overpowered by a manager who shouldn’t work in a customer setting.

An overwhelming strong air freshener febreeze scent when you walked into their lobby. Please tone down the febreeze or use the hypoallergenic cleaner. Alamo is the best, honest straightforward co with no added cost & extra or shenanigans.

I had rented with the competitor down the street the last couple of times but was left underwhelmed. The service at Alamo was excellent. I did not have to wait to pick up my car. The car was clean and in good condition. The return process was quick and seem less. As soon as I checked in they were ready to take me back to the airport. I would definitely recommend

I was able to choose “skip the counter” and go straight to my rental. Everyone was very friendly and helpful - from the shuttle bus driver to the staff in the lot and at return. There were no midsize cars and without hesitation - upgraded to full size. Very easy process for pick up and return.

This was my first time renting with Alamo and it was a nice and pleasant experience. When I got there to pick up the car there was no issues. They had my reservation and information. I originally reserved for compact car but all they had was a Toyota Corolla/Camry and a Buick Encore G/X and I was given the choice of either car and chose the Buick. So a bigger car for the Compact price. The rental place was a little late opening up when it was time to return it but luckily I had enough time for my flight. Also I hate I left some socks in the car. But overall I had a great experience will rent with Alamo again.

The whole staff were so friendly and made it so easy to pick out and return our vehicle! It was a great experience and the jeep ran like a charm throughout the 500 plus miles we drove it. Thank you! We'll come back to you again!

One of the worst rental services. I had to wait for 30 minutes at 4 am at the airport until the Enterprise shuttle agreed to pick me up. Then had to wait another 20 mins inside the Alamo rental center until someone came and helped with the car.

I rented from Alamo for the first time this last week and it was amazing. Checking in and getting my car was so smooth and fast, there were no hidden fees and no pressure to add on additional things I didn't need. Then returning my car was even easier! I will always rent from Alamo in the future!

The car was good and the service was nice. But our flight got delayed and landed after midnight. Before our flight took off I called to see what we should do when we arrived so late. The person on the phone at Alamo told me that they would stay open for up to 2 hours after our flight landed and not to worry because I added our flight number in the reservation. Well, when we arrived we wasted over 30 min waiting for the shuttle to take us from the airport to the rental car counter. It never showed up. We ended up spending $70 on an uber to take us to the hotel that night and then another $20 on an uber the next day to pick up the car. When I asked about the shuttle at the ticket counter the lady said..."no way we do not stay open past midnight. We want to go home." So why were we told they would be there. I understand that they closed, but the misinformation was very frustrating.

I recently had a wonderful experience renting my car from this Alamo at Lambert Airport. Donice checked me in when I arrived and was a delight to speak with. She made the check-in process so quick and easy! Returning the car was also a breeze, and a kind employee even helped me bring my bags to the airport shuttle. Sharon, the driver of the shuttle, was so friendly and fun to talk to as well! I've never had 5-star customer service like this at a car rental company, and I just had to commend these employees for doing such a great job. I will definitely be renting from this Alamo again.

The staff at the St. Louis airport location were very friendly and helpful. We were traveling from out of town to funeral with our elderly mother who has difficulty walking and uses a wheelchair. When we arrived on the shuttle the driver advised her team that we needed assistance. David and Aril came right out, located our vehicle and brought it to us so we didn't have to walk around the lot. Since we had preregistered and with their assistance the pickup process was uncomplicated and helped make our trip a little less stressful. When we returned the car, an Alamo staff member drove us back to the airport in our rental car so we did not have to struggle to get on and off the shuttle again with the wheelchair and all our luggage. Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely recommend Alamo and this location.

I LOVE the employees there. At the St. Louis airport, I was lucky enough to have a very lively female driver for both of the shuttles I used at the start and ending of my rental. Also, the employees who check you in and out curbside (skip the line pass) are lovely and engaging.BUT, the car I had this time smelled like someone had smoked a Titanic-sized doobie. Whew! The car was pretty worn looking and had more than 58k miles. After I got to my destination, I noticed there were also two cracks in the windshield.I’d use them again but would ask for a different car.

My family and I rented a Toyota RAV4 from Alamo last week. Pick up went very smooth. The return on Sunday went even smoother! Ben checked us in, he was super friendly and efficient. We we're in and out within 5 minutes! Thanks Alamo and Ben!
