If I could give 0 stars I would. I called for help getting my sons info because they never sent cards and he was very I’ll and needed immediate care. The man I spoke with basically berated me, then told me he couldn’t help me and rushed off the phone with me. Why is this allowed? We are literally insured through you. How can’t you help me and give me the information I need or send insurance cards so my son can be seen?!

Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, I think this insurance company stinks! I think they take advantage of people by saying they give you grocery shopping on their Flex card but yet that's a joke too! you do shopping through their website and their prices are ridiculous $2.50 or over $3 just for a can of vegetables! talk about taking advantage of the elderly! everything they state is just a cold-blooded lie. find yourself a better Insurance Company that offers you more and actually is honest because anthem they're just a joke and I think Medicare should look into them for the way they take advantage of people with the flex card.

Current employee as a Health Program Representative- Have to go through a temp agency like Aerotek or Kelly Services and will work as a temp for at least 6 months before you get an offer. Sometimes it may be up to a year. No drug test required, pay is good once hired on. As a temp you pay for parking either in a parking lot which is $2 a day or you can pay $2 a hr at the meters or pay $68 to park in the garage and your temp agency may reimburse you. If hired on you get access to the 24 hour gym and free garage parking. The management in the enrollment department are very inconsistent and are not knowledgeable about anything. No manager is on the same page when it comes to policies and regulations. No personal time to use the bathroom unless you use your breaks. The point system is ridiculous, there is way too much favortisim and unless you kiss up, moving up in a position is impossible. They do not accept doctor notes and you are required to use any PTO available regardless of the situation. The enrollment department looks clean but have seen at least 3 roaches roaming around. There is also no cameras in this department and definitely untrustworthy people who work here as well. I would not recommend working here unless you enjoy being treated like a child.

As someone who has been around for a little while and had several different insurance companies, Anthem Blue Cross is by far the WORST I have ever experienced!! They want to approve everything before they pay and they deny it all!! I have seizures and they have denied everything except for the meds. Stay far, far away from this company!!

The people running this operation are thoroughly incompetent. Easier to just get sick and die than to deal with these clowns.

My experience with trying to inquire about health insurance quote for an individual was great. The representative was very helpful in providing me with the information I requested. I was also advised I can view the different plans offered online since information could not be mailed. My experience was great until I started getting phone calls as a result of my inquiry online. My phone was ringing even while on a call with another representative trying to explain I had already spoken to someone. I received 25 phone calls each from a different agent. The phone calls became repetitive and very overwhelming to the point of frustration. Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield need a better system.

This company is about as crooked as it gets. I tried disenrolling because my doctor will no longer accept them and they jerked me around and lied about sending disenrollment forms until it was too late. Now what do i do about seeing my doctor? Highly unethical

Waited on hold for 30 minutes to speak to a representative to inquire if medical and dental insurance covered a specific state. Representative did not know the answer. I asked to speak to a manager who might know the answer and was told "The manager is just going to tell you the same thing." Red flag if employees dont know the answers to basic questions and then refuse to find out for you. Will not be using this service.

Terrible customer service. Non English speaking and extremely difficult to understand. The systems are either slow or they don’t have access to computers. They put you on hold multiple times during a call to verify basic information that you’ve given to them multiple times already. Seriously poor service. If healthcare wasn’t such a racket, I would switch.

Anthem Has denied basic patient services to its patients who suffer with from certain illnesses. They offer subpar authorizations for serious legitimate conditions. The City of St louis provides healthcare to its employee's thru this company. What a Terrible value to its workforce.

NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. BEEN SITTING ON THE PHONE FOR OVER 20 MINUTES ON HOLD. NOONE CAN GET ME AN ANSWER. LADY EARLIER SAID I'M COVERED. LADY NOW SAID NO. BUT APOLIGIZED BECAUSE SHE CAN'T GET AN ANSWER. Had same problem when I had my son in 2019.
