“Great studio with great people! Super professional and excellent work. Billy was delightful, and did SUCH a cool piece for me (walk-in appointment!). Definitely coming back next time I'm in STL!”
“While visiting St. Louis, Missouri, we stopped by the Chess Museum, and it exceeded all expectations. This isn’t just a place for chess enthusiasts; the artistry and intricate detail in each piece are truly remarkable. From the warm welcome at the front desk to our final stop in the gift shop, every moment was enjoyable. This museum is a must-visit, and the admission price is excellent. Thank you for creating such a wonderful memory!”
“A fantastic experience with wonderful people. Helped me with great advice on all steps of the process, and now my artwork is beautifully presented. Can’t recommend them highly enough (would give 10 stars if I could)!”
“I had an incredible experience at this makers space! From the moment I approached Vince with my design idea, they were all in, providing invaluable expertise and creative insights that truly elevated my project. But what really set them apart was their willingness to go above and beyond. Not only did they assist me in selecting the perfect materials, but they also picked up materials for me (after noting the vendor had given me one wrong size), ensuring I had everything I needed to bring my vision to life. Their commitment to supporting creators and innovators is evident in everything they do. A huge thank you to the entire team for their outstanding service and support. Highly recommended for anyone looking to bring their creative ideas to life!”
“Really great community arts studio with a wide range of classes in almost every medium. Great teachers and price point. Be aware that the website makes it very hard to find drawing classes, but they are offered. Can’t recommend the ceramics classes enough.”
“What an exceptional place for any small gathering. The art is amazing and the vibe is special. It’s very eclectic and cozy here. I took a few photos of some of the art but you must see it in person.”
“I've known about CAM for years, but I didn't realize this was just around the corner and also free. I took my parents while they were in town, and we were really impressed! While we were there, they had an... ambient? Noise? Concert in the large sunken gallery, which was really perfect and atmospheric. Definitely not what I'd normally listen to, but it matched the space. I liked that they have a coat room by the restrooms, and they have some postcards set out that they will mail for you (I only know a couple of addresses off the top of my head, so bring your address book if you want to take advantage).”
“The best local shop that I have been in! The people who assisted me were so kind and considerate, and their work is fantastic. I can not stress enough how wonderful my experience with this business was. They were honest and helpful with every question I had.”
“I needed to have a painting remounted because it wasn't done properly the first time by a different business. Jaynelle and Dogtown Gallery & Frame Shop not only fixed the problem, the painting looks even better in its frame with the new mounting. For future framing needs, I will certainly be returning to Dogtown Gallery! Thank you so much.”
“As someone who loves history the Samuel Coupples house did not disappoint. Before going in I didn’t expect much, just a cool looking house. Stepping in made me feel like I was walking through time, the echos of the people who lived there in the past stuck in the ears of time. There are a few places which made me want to research them more and the Cupples house was one of them. I learned about the niche side of St.Louis’s history from visiting this site. The tickets are free and you can explore the house and immerse yourself. This was an unexpected hidden gem”
“Sarah framed 2 prints for me. She was patient with my indecision, had great ideas that vastly improved the final products and she did an expert job at framing. Could not be more pleased. I highly recommentld Sarah's store.”
“Anytime I see a line outside the Luminary I immediately check the website to see what's going on! I'm never disappointed by an exhibit, speaker, or event to hold space there.”
“This gallery is a showcase for regional artistic talent allowing everyone in the community a unique chance to display their work. I have attended two openings and a special event, which were very well attended pre-covid. Last week I stopped in for an expresso and found the gallery just re-opened. This is a diamond in the rough in downtown St. Louis and only blocks from the arch complex. With juried exhibits routinely changing you have every reason to visit and admire local talent throughout the year. And the coffee bar is amazing!”
“A friendly, welcoming gallery full of fine artworks carefully selected for quality. There is something for everyone here, from the seasoned collector to the newcomer, and at a variety of prices points. Almost nothing here that I wouldn't like to have hanging on my wall.”
“We had Schwaig Art Glass Works create two glass panels under skylights even with the ceilings. The daylight pours through the clear textures and bevels that were used. We highly recommend this company and John was great to work with. If you're looking for quality at a fair price, this is your man.”
