Brought my ‘21 Nissan Sentra here for a diagnostic back in January when my engine seized and lost power on the highway. I utilized the tow truck company that they recommended for the tow to the shop and back. Upon receiving the vehicle, there was no new accident damage on the body of the vehicle from the incident of the engine seizure, but the car was inoperable and my front passenger tire was flat, so it was understandably difficult to move the vehicle. I agreed to have them replace that tire in order to bring the vehicle in for the diagnostic. After the “diagnostic” was complete, I was told that there was damage to my engine block, but when I pressed them for more information, in order to see if it was a warranty issue that I could have the dealer rectify, I was told that they hadn’t actually moved the vehicle into the shop and onto a lift at all. They used a tire jack to shimmy underneath and felt the spot where the oil was leaking out and that was it. I asked them to do what they had originally agreed to do, and replace the tire and get it onto a lift to do a proper diagnostic. Of course what I was told originally changed. The oil pan was ruptured. That was fine. The main issue is that I received my vehicle back with the driver’s side fender nearly balled up. The guy from the tow truck company brought my vehicle back at night cursing and frustrated in my driveway. I asked him about the damage and was told that it was like that when he picked it up. I had been to the shop in between it’s drop off and the second diagnostic, and there was no damage to the drivers side of my vehicle at all. The tow truck driver also insisted that they take pictures of the vehicles before and after drop off. I called them and they told me they didn’t have any from the pick up on the lot or any from the pick up/drop off from my house to the lot. Okay. They assured me that Bayless had security cameras on their lot. I called the tow truck company after over a week of not hearing from either and they told me that there was no security footage from the lot as it’s scrubbed every 24 hrs. I threw my hands up at that point because it became apparent that they were covering for one another. Neither ever took responsibility. Very unprofessional and predatory place. Decided to take my vehicle elsewhere to Bob’s Transmission and Auto in Maryland Heights and they were fast, professional and thorough, found a used engine with 5000 miles for a very reasonable price and my car runs better than it ever has.

They were able to get me in same day to repair a flat tire and while there identified an additional nail in the same tire. Kevin was helpful and the price was reasonable. Definitely recommend them for any tire or car needs.

I had just bought a truck that I took there for repairs and they said it was stolen after the repairs had been done, yet when I asked for a safety to give to my insurance Steve Johnson the owner said he hadn't completed repairs yet .
However in his statement to the attorney general he stated that we were both victims because of the repairs done to the vehicle
Police believe it was an inside job and his story changes too much. I'm not saying he was involved just that his story changes too much.
I've incuded photos of when the Saint Louis City police recovered my stolen and stripped vehicle from Bayless Tire And Auto.
Take your vehicle anywhere else and NEVER leave it overnight with Steve Johnson and Bayless tire and auto.

Prices are out of this world might as well go to a dealer and get it done right probably cheaper than this place. I had two tires changed supposed to have been $58 when they were done it was 78 dollars will not go back there again.

I have been a customer here for years. Some of my family members are as well. My experiences with Steve Johnson and his staff have always been positive. Steve is honest, fair, and knowledgeable and tells it “like it is”. I do not go to other repair shops.
