My daughter is over the moon for wicked and desperately wanted a bear before seeing the movie this week. We had to go late around 7:15 when they close at eight so I could go with my family after work. I know how easy it can be to phone it in the last 45min of the day, especially on a rainy Monday in November. However we had the pleasure of working with Sarah who made both my and my children’s evening. Giving them enthusiasm and the undivided attention that makes all the difference. I’m so happy they made time for us to feel welcome and never made us feel rushed or like we were a sale to wrap up really quick before close.

We went for our daughter’s 2nd birthday (something we have done before). The lady who was doing the stuffing of the bear asked us if we were doing the birthday special “where you pay your age”. We said yes so she said we HAD to get the voice thing that goes in the bear. Which we asked if that was something new and she said she was sure this was part of the deal. When we went to check out we told the checkout lady that we were getting the bear and we didnt know there was a new deal where you get the voice thing. She told us no the deal is you get a birthday bundle for $25 and that is one of the items included. We told her we wouldnt have gotten this if the lady hadn’t told us we HAD to get it. All she had to say was sorry for the confusion but there was nothing they could do. Looking at other reviews. Theres someone that had the exact same thing happen to them!! This place is doing it on purpose. If this happens to anyone else I would suggest reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

I’m very disappointed with Build-A-Bear. We were given completely misleading information about the birthday bundle. The staff told us one thing, but when we arrived, the promotion wasn’t honored the way it was explained. It felt like a bait-and-switch, and it ruined what was supposed to be a special experience. If they advertise a deal, they should make sure their employees know the correct details and keep it consistent across locations. Very frustrating and unprofessional.

We came in for our daughter to get her birthday bear for her August birthday. While the first 2 employees we encountered made the experience confusing and weren’t exactly warm, ALLISON turned it around completely for us! She was so incredibly kind and made every step magical for our daughter. Every single employee past that point interacted sweetly with our children, complemented their choices on picks and were extremely helpful since we had never been in before. They even offered a coupon for future use to apologize for the first bit of our experience which felt above and beyond to us! It makes a huge difference when you have employees that love their job and interact so sweetly with littles. Kids can tell too!! They even sang to our daughter and made her feel soooo special for her birthday! Thank you so much for all the employees, Allison & Riley specifically, that made sure it was a great experience for Charli & Elias! ❤️ I hope this gets read to them!

I visited this store with friends and family and we had a great time! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the store is very nice.

When we first walked in we were greeted and said we were there for the Birthday Bear, I want to say her name was Riley, was so incredibly sweet and helped us out. Everyone was so incredible the entire time and made the experience magical!!!

I am 17 and I don’t think I’ll stop loving this place even when I’m 107. I’ve always been a huge fan of stuffed animals and so this place is heaven to me considering it’s literally JUST stuffed animals. I’ve accumulated so many over the years and thrift older ones I find while thrifting. I’m still scouring for finally not miss a pumpkin kitty drop before the resellers get to it. It’s my dream BAB! The workers here are always so kind and helpful. The prices can get pretty high but that isn’t the fault of the store itself and doesn’t take away from the experience, plus they don’t judge you for saying no to additional costs like clothing scents or things of the sort. Love it! I also love how they still do the heart ceremony with older guests who want to, I’ve seen them do it with adults much older than me too! Thanks for keeping life nostalgic!

Maddie is a rockstar! She has the friendliest personality and really made me feel welcome. She answered all of my questions and helped me with my purchase. Very sweet girl. I absolutely love this location!!
