If I could give ZERO stars I would. And that’s being nice. Their stupid ATM ate my bank card and they told me they couldn’t get it back. Not only were they disrespectful, they couldn’t even give me a call back I had to call them. I definitely will never come back and I’ll be telling everybody I know :)

Busey Bank is the best bank in town. They are kind and helpful - always willing to go the extra mile, and of course they are pleasant during every transaction. I have been banking here for many years and it feels like home here. Thank you Busey Bank

My family and I have banked with Busey for several years, and I have relied heavily on their mobile app to make deposits and check my account balance. This weekend, the app was updated, and it has been an absolute nightmare to deal with online and phone representatives. My account has apparently (according to one online representative) been "deactivated", and neither the website nor the app recognizes my username and password. When I tried the helpline for assistance, the answering rep. told me that she needed the exact date my family's account was opened, or she could not help me. I could provide her with my account number, SSN, phone number, and answers to security questions, but none of those things were sufficient to qualify for gaining access to my account. A family member of mine called the exact same line yesterday, was not asked for that information, and was immediately able to recover her login/account details. Why this information was lost with an app update, I have no idea. I'm very disappointed in how Busey and it's representatives have chosen to proceed with business, and I will be searching elsewhere for my banking needs. It's a shame I can't give this business 0/5 stars.

Follow up Post: Continuing issues with the Bank of Edwardsville sale to Busey. Because of the lack of planning on Busey's part, during transfer of assets from Bank of Ed to Busey, the computer system for Busey failed. The customers were unable to see their account balances or move money between or to/from accounts. I have been dealing with overdraft fees for nearly a month. This has required multiple phone calls to the "help" line and a trip in to a branch office. The "help" line also failed due to the amount of complaints/problems during the transfer. You would sit on hold, the automatic voice would state that you were the 7th caller in line, then the 6th caller, etc. However, you would then get put back to there were greater than 10 callers in front of you.

Busey, nearly complete in buying the Bank of Edwardsville, has the Bank of Edwardsville customers personal information. The Busey logo is at the top of our Bank of Edwardsville log insite. However, the Busey bank will not provide services for the B of Ed customers. We went in for a signature guarantee, however, although they have our personal information, they would not provide that service. Not a good way to "greet" a new customer that is a long time client of the bank that Busey is purchasing.

For the most part, it's a decent bank. When I opened my account it was called Pulaski, and Busey company bought it. Since the acquisition, I haven't really seen any improvements. The staff is very friendly, but I get better service at US Bank, and Vantage Credit Union, where my other accounts are. My main issues are that I get charged each month that I do not use their "bill pay" service (which I don't need,) and the app is very slow to update. What I mean by that is when I buy gas for example, in just a few minutes the pending transaction shows up in my app for the other banks I have, but Busey tends to take days to update. I like to have the information in real time.
