So I was watching Netflix and I can see a bunch of people walking by my living room window. I didn't think much about it. But then I hear what sounds like a marching band, I'm like... Is that a fu€king marching band? So then I decided to do some investigating. I walked out my front door and there was people walking everywhere and roads blocked off. So I walked about a half a block thinking somebody is having one hell of a party to have a fu€king marching band. I asked some random dude holding a cooler of beer what was going on and I couldn't understand a word he said so I continued on. There was beautiful women everywhere. I was determined to find this party that seemed to be everywhere and I wanted to know the source of this fu€king marching band. I got to Cherokee Street and I guess the marching band marched away because I never did see it but thats when I learned it was Cinco de Mayo and I joined the party and had a great time.

I had a blast! Food, games, music, musicians, drinks laughter all filled the Downtown streets of St. Louis, MO. They definitely know how to get it popping for Cinco de Mayo Day!! It was a great time! People filled the streets with bull rides and even lined dances! What a bloody blissful time it was and where to be! (2018)

Mexican and Latin American food, music, dance, arts, and activities in St. Louis's Latin and Bohemian neighborhood launching with the People's Joy Parade by area artists, musicians, and social/culturally/political organizations and figures. This well-attended Cinco de Mayo is the best in the region.

2022 - The weather was perfect for an outdoor festival, sunny and 70 degrees. Cherokee St. is blocked off between Jefferson Ave. and Nebraska Ave. Free admission and there is free street parking nearby. There are also paid parking on Jefferson Ave. for $10. It gets pretty packed in the afternoon and traffic gets backed up in the area. The local restaurants and shops are open alongside the festival. Lots of Mexican food vendors (also funnel cakes), beer and margarita stands and merchandise vendor (like sombreros and $5 sunglasses). There's also a "Kid" Klaw game (giant life size claw machine) that cost $5-$10, 3 music stages, a roller skating rink, wrestling ring, and mechanical bull ride. It's a festival for everyone, some people bring their dogs and some bring their babies. .|\---/| | o_o | .\_^_/..2022

The music choice for the daytime should have been more family oriented. Racial slurs and cursing set to a dope beat is still just racial slur's and cursing! Save it until the children are gone!

Our first time, we had a blast. Would have liked to see more authentic Mexican jewelry, went looking for a silver bracelet, mostly found lower quality souvenir level things. Kinda disappointed I couldn't find a fresh margarita, everyone just had giant coolers of some mystery mix and no one knew the ingredients, but everyone had the same so there's no chance to compare the drinks usually made by all the different, fantastic restaurants on Cherokee.
