Needed some table cloths for an event and went to this DG because it’s the closest one. Pulled up right at 6:40, a full 20 minutes before they closed. I would’ve been in and out in less than five. Gate was down, door was locked. Cashier told me they were closed. Incredibly rude, horrible attitude, horrible customer service. Reading the other reviews, it’s obvious corporate doesn’t care what’s going on in their stores. And why should they? They’re not the ones that have to deal with the public.

I just went in and purchased a item. The cashier initially didn’t say anything to me. She was on her phone for a good 20 seconds before she rang up my item. Horrible customer service.

Baybeeeee, they are DOWN BAD in here.
I stopped in with a few minutes to kill, carrying a deli bag with a sandwich. Even though it was transparent, I double-tied it before going in as a courtesy. I held the door for the Pepsi guy since none of the employees could be bothered. Little did I know, they were too busy eye-banging my sandwich (shoutout to Blues City Deli) to help their merchandiser.
A few aisles in, someone starts yelling “ma’am.” I stop. Look around. No one’s looking at me, so I keep it moving.
Spoiler: it was for me.
At checkout, I’m told all bags must be left at the front. She says she was calling me.
“Oh, so you did see me stop and look around before continuing? Cool cool.”
I offer: she can inspect the sandwich she’s now basically breathing on and I'll bounce, or I'll complete my purchase.
She shrugs: “No ma’am, I just work here.”
BRUH.
You’re surrounded by restaurants, can’t hold a door for your vendors, and your team is pressed over hot pastrami? If you’re gonna enforce a wild bag policy that applies to clear plastic, at least slap a sign on the door. The same door you couldn’t be bothered to hold open or automate for your merchandiser.
Make it make sense.

This specific location is horrible the staff is very rude the place is cluttered beyond measures.. there are a total of 2 shopping baskets and the hand baskets are behind the counter.. they watch tv show episodes and talk on their phone while checking out customers they curse and let it be known that their seeking other employment so they don’t care if we call corporate or leave reviews and there is always only 1 register working which forms a line down the isle full of boxes from the unloading truck blocking the end caps.. a full batch of regular bulbs and appliance bulbs were damaged but left hanging for purchase even after being notified after refunding some for the second time.. gross behavior

My daughter came here and reloaded her card 2 days ago and still does not have her money. She’s asking for help from the District Manager and it seems he does not care to contact her in regards to her issue. Very poor management on his end. We will be reaching out to the BBB to file a complaint.

I had a really bad headache, and needed aspirin really bad it was only 6:45 and the lights where off and you where locking the doors,you guys suppose to close at 7pm.

This Dollar General either needs to be closed or put more care into it. We have tourist and travelers who are visiting downtown and the conditions of the store are just not appealing. We have leaky freezers constantly and never rectified. Shelves are empty and never can take cash door says cards only. Corporate needs to evaluate this store.

I enjoy going to this store. The prices are perfect, the people are great, and yhey alwsys have what I need. Everything is organized well, and I wasn't harrassed for money outside. Great store.

Usually like this store.... cashier today, very very unfriendly demeanor, can't say hello, smile, or even acknowledge that you are there. Tell you your total. Talking to other employees. Found her very very rude. Soda did not ring up correctly, too flustered to go back and address it with a rude cashier. 5/19/2024 @ 9:35.

The black lady with the low fade is rude. SMH. Horrible customer service. I walk up to her and she not one time greeted me. She stayed on her phone and waited for me to say something. it has the things that other stores don't have the things to purchase the nessary have the supply of different things to be a different place to live in the same area can be for the most important things are offered to be a good idea to live with in the location is a best part to have the best to keep it safe and open for the convenience of having the only one to supply the customer service to all the things to be a good idea for the things that are to be done ?✅.
