This place was very well organized, and the people running the place were very helpful. I bought a woodworking power tool for a ridiculous fraction of what it would have cost me new from a retailer. They let me plug it in to try it out, and offered a 30 day warranty for an additional $2. I was very pleased with my experience there.

I know people get mad and act rash and post bad reviews and if I could take away the 1 star I would!, making it zero stars. This business doesn’t deserve anybody’s business. After reading prior reviews I realized I should’ve never done business there. I’m just not a review type of person until something happens you realize the reviews are there for a reason. Let me just say, I’ve never been so astounded on the reality of the business and its culture. If you really need to pawn something, I highly suggest not to do business with this location. Long story short, I pawned 2 items and paid as much in interest as borrowed. Doesn’t seem fair does it? To make matters worse, the situation only happened due to Mike the assistant manager. I showed up to pay off the pawn loan and was told interest of $90 hit the same day. (It was going to actually hit at midnight) Mike, tells me to come back tomorrow and the manager Kendra would most likely work with me on the interest fee that hit that day, I just wanted to pay and be done and Mike insisted to come back to Kendra could give me some relief on $90 interest fee and she’s done it before. So I took his advice due to how adamant Mike was and returned today to talk to Kendra. As i arrived i was told I not only the $90 but an additional $90 for another interest fee that accrued as well! To make matters worse, Kendra, the manger said she had no idea what Mike was talking about and she had never done that before. The only thing Kendra would or could do (who knows what’s true) is gave me her business card with her cell phone number on it. She said next time I want or need to pawn an item, call her and she’ll give me maximum value. A nice gesture but did not help matters with my current situation. So, in the end, I pawned 2 items for $600 and ended up having to pay back $1080.00 because the assistant manager Mike turned me away when trying pay the loan. Either the employees scammed me or this is the way they do business. Again, please think more than twice before doing business at this location. FYI- the BBB has an F rating with 4 filings against this business.

I walked into to buy a computer When I got there a customer was in the store being excited and really load there was one employee helping her. A 2nd employee just standing behind the desk. No one assted me until the woman left. Than the man who wasn't helping the woman came over to help me. I asked him simple question about a laptop I asked how many gigs of ram it had he told me 7. They don't make computers with 7 gigs of ram. Than he pointed to a sticker on the lap top that said I7 that refured to the processor and not the GPU.
I found one I like and it has a price tag on it for $200. I was ready to buy it cash in hand and wanted to take it with me today. The employee told me that price was the layaway price and to take it home today it will be $300 but you can put something down and come back tomorrow and pay the difference and you can take it tomorrow. The computer has been in the store since December 2024. He than told me that's how the manager set it up and explained to me that they need x amount of layaways each month to meet a goal. I told him that you also need x amount of sells to keep the store open and he said yes so you won't sell me the computer at the sticker price. He told me no that's the layaway price and to buy it, today it be $300. I told him I don't want it than and walked out.
Please explain to me why it would cost me more to buy something with cash than if I put it in layaway.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Today was the worst experience I've had at a pawn shop. The woman behind the counter had gave me a price for an item I brought and when I came back later she tried to lowball me and give me less than the price she originally gave me and tried to deny she ever said that amount as if our conversation we had an hour prior never happened!! What a lying a** B****!!! Never going here ever again!!!!!

So look, it's a pawn shop. Right? So long as you understand what that means before you go there you should understand that it's not always going to be just like you want it. They know what will and won't sell in their shop, so maybe they don't want your stuff. If you buy something from them it comes with a disclaimer that purchases are final. They hear a bunch of stories and meet people at their lowest points and trying to get every dime they can out of something and they meet those looking to take advantage of that fact that still try to talk the price down.My personal experience was they are decent enough to deal with, know what they will and won't take and are pretty close to any other pawn shop price wise. They've been there quite a while. That alone says something.

I bought a 10k gold necklace and 10k gold cross yesterday (8-23-2023 separately). I noticed that they over-charged me by $40.00 on the gold necklace when I was reviewing my bank statements this morning. (this review will be updated if they don't refund me the money I was over-charged.) They refused to give me back the money that I was over-charged. I do NOT encourage anyone to do business with these crooks. After giving them a piece of my mind...I was told to never return to this corrupt store. BOYCOTT FIRST CASH PAWN (for $40.00 they could have at least given me a BJ.)They called the police on me twice in an attempt to make me leave from the public sidewalk....I know my rights. (and I'm blessed for all our men and women who fought for our Freedom.)The barcode did not match the price that was written on the price tag.....unfortunately I was not paying attention to the amount I was charged.....so a simple mistake cost me $40.00 freaking dollars. I don't own a money tree either. The man (an employee) who initially showed me the gold chain (on 8-23-2023) has not been at this corrupt store.....he is the only person who could verify that the chain was marked as $110.00)The moral of this story is: If you leave your pants down....they'll shove it up your A**. This has been one nightmare of an experience of trying to buy my wife a nice gold necklace with a gold cross. Not one speck of professional customer service can be found at First Cash Pawn....trust me. (rated -10 stars not 3.5 stars) The employee took the barcode and little price tag off the chain and threw them into the trash can (that was not her responsibility)....she should have left them on the chain. After speaking to the man (an employee) who initially showed me the gold chain (again on 8-26-2023), he refuses to get involved with my dispute to help me get my $40.00 over-charged.BOYCOTT FIRST CASH PAWN (Crooks)
