South county home depot is the worst home depot there is. I live in south county, and I'd rather go to ANY home depot other than this one. Staff is way to intrusive.

I visited this store after experiencing inferior customer service at Lowe’s Arnold. I was pleased to find exceptional customer service and ceiling tiles that were $10 less than what I paid at Lowe’s. I had to buy the remaining tiles here because Lowe's was out of stock. Excellent job, Home Depot! I won’t be returning to Lowe’s again.

Not as professional or service oriented cashiers as their competition. Seems like friendliness is laking or some want to be on personal cell phones while 'working' vs paying attention to small tasks work related to pass non-customer interaction time.

Purchased a Christmas tree online, they were supposed to have one left in stock. They called to tell me it wouldn’t be in for a few days, asked if that was ok, I said yes.
The next day I get a call saying the ordered that was supposed to contain the tree, would in fact not actually have that tree, so they offered me the display. I accepted. They let me know they didn’t have the original box, but they would package it up in some Hone Depot boxes and I’d get a message when it was ready for pick up.
I drive over to the store and the entire tree is sitting on a cart, not in boxes ( mind you I have already paid for it.) They were going to have me help do it / such great customer service. But we couldn’t quickly get it apart because it was screwed together. I ask them if they can package it up for me and if I can come back later to get it, I had somewhere to be , they nicely said they would get it apart and in boxes it would be taken care of and I let them know I’d be back later to grab it.
The next day! Mind you it is a full 24 hours later to get it boxed up like I was promised two times, my husband goes to pick it up and it’s still sitting fully out together not in boxes.
Two trips and two lies later Mark the very unhelpful manager who I guess sells things and makes promises he won’t keep after taking your money, was absolutely zero help. Nothing was done for the Inconvenience or lies. We now don’t have a tree with hours of wasted time. Guess I am a Lowe’s customer now.

I was today years old when I found out that Home Depot subs out their deliveries. I waited around all day for my fridge to be delivered and when the technicians showed up, they said they weren’t capable of putting the doors together and that we would have to call and schedule another technician that could. Waste of time and effort. Why send people who are not qualified to install a fridge?

Never buy paint in that store because they don't know how to mix it. Look my picture how egshell paint look so shiny.
Today October 31 I asked the lumber guy if I can get just one little broken piece of wood that I can try my sample paint at home and he did not allow me to take This isridiculous.

My complements to Farida! I was shopping at the South Lindbergh Home Depot last Sunday just a short time before the store was closing. As you might expect there were customers and employees hustling to finish business by the closing time. I got in the checkout line with my items where Farida was operating the register. She was showing exemplary patience with the customer in front of me who was trying to use a discount that didn't apply. After Farida politely explained HD's rule about the discount the customer was very insistent with Farida and had her call the Head Cashier. While waiting for the (busy) Head Cashier to arrive the customer continued displaying an attitude yet Farida remained calm and friendly. The Head Cashier came and dealt with the unpleasant customer while Farida moved to another register and checked out other waiting customers including me. I told Farida that I thought she handled the customer with patience and respect. She deserved recognition for being a role model employee in my view.

Today I went to the store and there were no employees anywhere, so on Sundays the store opens itself? Besides, you don't have people who are bilingual in Spanish and it becomes difficult to buy.
