A hardware store that also stocks little parts unlike a Home improvement store.
Helpful staff: While I search for my selections, a staff member will ask if I need anything. The best part? When I tell them I don't need help, they let me know they'll be around if needed....and they leave me be. THAT'S listening to the customer.
Good selection.
Rental department too.
I drive out of my way to shop here because there never seems to be any issues.

The old men they have behind the counter at the service and key desk need to be fired. I sat there just waiting to be acknowledged for at least 10 minutes, then when asked if I should come back another day he told me to give him a minute harshly. Very rude customer service by men that work a very slowly

I came in this Friday to get some screws and some other necessities and this young lady whose name is Jenna refused to help me locate the items on my list, as well as ignoring any further help I needed up front. Overall she was extremely rude and needs to learn how to control her mannerisms and constant eye rolling. I understand this might not be the most fun job but to be rude by eye rolling just because I needed help. Find a new job if this one is to hard for you. Maybe she just didn't want to get her steps in because her joints hurt with all that weight on them. Because of this, unfortunately I will not be returning to this store due to this disgusting experience, she needs to learn how to be a decent human being.

This handyman true value hardware store is a gem to the local community. I find myself stopping by here to pick up things constantly... This is even true when I'm working on homes in other areas of St Louis. I will often wait and pick up items I need here while I'm in the area to avoid shopping at Home Depot or Lowe's. Maybe it's just because I'm familiar with the South Country area and I feel comfortable but I find myself shopping here or even for projects I'm working on in areas such as Creve Coeur or Town & Country. It's a very traditional True Value location that often provides items that are not easily found at Home Depot and Lowe's. Obviously they are unable to carry everything but what they do stock spans the residential spectrum of home repairs.
