Dont ever buy an appliance from Lowe's Home Improvement. I bought a refrigerator and had a delivery scheduled yesterday between noon and 4 pm. I left work at 1130, empty my old refrigerator, put my stuff in coolers on the back porch and took the doors off so it could be easily removed. They called at 1:30 to say the truck broke down and I would be scheduled today between 8 am and noon so I didn't go to work this morning. They then changed my delivery time to 9:30 to 1:30. So I called work and said I'd be in around 230. Now they changed it to between 10:30 and 2:30. I called the store manager and they stated they have no control because it's contracted through a third party. So, Lowes takes no responsibility on the delivery of the item you purchase from them and will be of zero help. Last purchase for me from Lowes.

Customer service is 0/10. I was purchasing paint samples from this Lowe’s; the employee did not affix the lid tightly and paint spilled down my clothes, the cart & the floor. When I asked the manager to address my ruined clothing, I was offered a 5% discount on my purchase. This in no way compensated for the cost of my clothing and the corporate office also offered no other remedies. Do not shop here.

My vehicle was broken into / attempted car-jacking at this location while I was inside for 6 minutes. It is not safe and outside security is not doing regular patrols around the parking lot.

We ordered a refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave from this store. The refrigerator and dishwasher arrived with no issues. The microwave was to be delivered 3 days later and installed by Lowe’s. The installers arrived on the expected day, removed our existing microwave, then noticed the new one was damaged, so they did not install it. They called their supervisor to explain the situation. We were told a new microwave would be delivered in 3 days and they even told us to tell the new installers that they didn’t have to install the support bracket because they already had.
Three days went by without a microwave and without word from Lowe’s. So, on the 4th day we called. They couldn’t figure out what was going on so they escalated the issue. We got a call on day 5 saying they cancelled our order and will refund our purchase. We never wanted the order cancelled and still have a hole over our cooktop where they removed our old, but working, microwave. We are still trying to resolve this issue.

Around June 2023, I paid for a custom door installation with the frame to allow for a storm door. I was told that I had to have a custom door for which I paid extra because a standard door would require construction partly because there is a stud nearby and I was told that Lowes does not do construction. The installer put in a damaged door, the frame was not done correctly, and they did not include the ability to add a storm door. As of November 2024, I am still waiting for this to be corrected. Most recently, the Lowes installer said it cannot be done.

I had an awful experience with Lowe’s online and this store in particular. I ordered a new microwave online with professional installation. The item was ordered and a week later it arrived at South City Lowe’s. My card was charged and I got an email notification saying the microwave arrived at the store and I would be contacted about installation. Five days later, still nothing about installation. After calling several different numbers, I was told that the order would have to be redone by the store and the representative told me I would get a discount. Then the store called back to do the order again and said I would NOT get a discount. I think I spent at least an hour on the phone dealing with this issue, then to be told I was not getting a discount even though I was told otherwise. I will never shop at Lowe’s again. What a complete waste of time and energy! Don’t shop at this store!
