We’ve been using LFCU for about 8 years, and we’re totally delighted with it. We’re in our 70s, but the tech is so easy, even we can use it with no trouble. On rare occasions when we’ve called about something, the response has always been quick and easy to understand. And it’s great to have the added benefit of being part of our Synod. We highly recommend it.

After several phone calls and filling out forms we found out we could not get a mortgage for a home. We plan on moving in a few months and selling our current home. We wanted to have a place ready for us. Initially the rep said that was fine. Later on she realized our loan was with LCEF. LFCU and LCEF are under the same umbrella and do not allow two mortgages even if you can afford it. I suggest that information be on the website or at least clarified in the initial phone call by the rep when she knows she is talking to a church worker. We try to support our Lutheran organizations but will probably go with someone else now.

Purchasing a car can be stressful at times. Securing our loan at LFCU helped smooth out the edges. The loan interest rate we got was unbeatable by any other lending institution. I highly recommend LFCU for banking and borrowing needs.

I was left a message to contact Cheryl to complete my application and was asked what type of account I wanted, checks, and a security pin for the savings and checking account. I was also told that there would be an email to respond to finish up the application and provide an electronic signature. I thanked her and she welcomed me as a new client. Five minutes later, I checked my email and was denied the application. I called back to make sure there was not a mistake and Cheryl (now not so friendly) confirmed my application was denied.How fake and dishonest... Why bother pretending I was approved and ask me to call to review the account information. My time is valuable to me.
