I had an incredible experience at this makers space! From the moment I approached Vince with my design idea, they were all in, providing invaluable expertise and creative insights that truly elevated my project. But what really set them apart was their willingness to go above and beyond. Not only did they assist me in selecting the perfect materials, but they also picked up materials for me (after noting the vendor had given me one wrong size), ensuring I had everything I needed to bring my vision to life. Their commitment to supporting creators and innovators is evident in everything they do. A huge thank you to the entire team for their outstanding service and support. Highly recommended for anyone looking to bring their creative ideas to life!

I've been a member at MADE since it opened. I live over 2 hours from St Louis, but I make my way up for weekend builds as often as I can and get so much joy out of building things. An apartment needed a small adjustable shelf system...MADE! My wife said, "We should have a house concert" I said, "Then I'm building a stage!"...MADE! And when I decided I wanted to mix paint, electronics and acrylic together to make a lamp, where else could I find a laser cutter, paint room and electronics bench...MADE!Take a tour.Start to dream.Build it at MADE.

MADE is a fun, energetic, and open space to explore your hobbies or learn about new ones. The staff are always welcoming, helpful, and get excited with you about what you are working on. The machines are kept in great condition and have tip sheets to refer back to after your check-off. I visit MADE multiple times a week and am always happy for the opportunity to spend some time in such an open space while creating:)I work mostly in the textile section with the sewing machines, large tables for cutting and building, and the long arm quilt machine.

Potential for Improvement in Accessibility and Cost-EffectivenessI recently experienced a misunderstanding with my membership and training enrollment at the maker's space, which was promptly resolved through a refund and cancellation - highlighting their efficient customer service. However, the training costs present a significant barrier for occasional hobbyists like myself. With training priced at $300 per machine and a monthly membership of $100, engaging with the space sporadically becomes prohibitively expensive, easily exceeding $300 for a single visit plus training fees for each machine.**Suggestions for Improvement:**1. **Introduce a Daily Rate**: A more flexible pricing option, such as a $100 day rate following complimentary training, could make the space more accessible for those of us looking to use the facilities infrequently.2. **Adopt Digital Training**: Transitioning from live trainers to free, comprehensive training videos could lower entry barriers, making the space more appealing and accessible by automating and potentially eliminating training costs. These changes could significantly enhance the maker's space's appeal, making it a more inclusive community hub for innovation and creativity.

Enjoyable, Very interesting location definitely something for the crafty artistic individuals very friendly staff which helps a lot. Kind of an open floor plan with different stations for doing kid style craft learning definitely would like to see this with more direction in the individual crafting areas but definitely could become a enjoyable activity with the kids with plenty of odd crafty things to take home

I set out to make a cribbage board and realized my lack of tools would make it very difficult. I knew CNC would give me the best results, but I have no training or experience with it. I reached out to MADE about a custom class, and was introduced to Myles. He was awesome to work with (as was everyone else I interacted with)! We fine tuned the design, and he asked for my input/feedback on several things I hadn't even though about. It turned out great (and much better than if I had tried doing it at home).Great experience--I definitely plan to go back and will likely become a member later in the year. Shout out to Eugina (initial contact for custom classes/membership) for all of the helpful class/membership info, Paul (facilities manager) for bonus help with my project, and Myles for being a great partner and making it happen! As a note, any consumable materials have to be supplied (for me that meant buying a CNC bit)--Myles told me exactly what to buy and suggested a store that sells them. The good news? MADE also sells several different bits (and other consumables) for the same price (that's right, no markup for convenience or anything like that).

Cool place. Went for the Friday evening open house. Everyone was very nice. Like to fiddle around at home, nice to know there are big professional-quality machines around if I need them.

Fantastic spot for kids to create and build things. A great way to beat the heat because it’s inside!

Parking lots are on both sides of the street. This facility is smaller than the original magic house. But it has a lot interesting things to offer for kids. 3D printing, stop motion video, designed a toy and more.

Tim Varner is an amazingly creative and talented craftsman! I was looking for someone who could make a garden-sized Maypole for my all-things-German loving husband. With only a few pictures of the Munich Victualien market maypole as inspiration, Tim created a masterpiece that blew my husband's mind! Tim is not only highly skilled, but he is ridiculously nice and easy to work with. I cannot say enough good things about him and the team at MADE, and I highly recommend them for your projects!
