Upon arrival at 4:30PM our room still wasn’t ready. Due to our schedule, we were offered a public restroom to get ready for dinner. We rolled with it, and enjoyed our dinner and the event that brought us to downtown. After the event we were heading back and I noticed I still didn’t have a mobile key. When we got back they had checked us in and moved our luggage to our room, as they should. The room was average, linens average and while it was clean “down the middle”, it was in need of some deep cleaning. The next morning the valet’s were literally hours behind, I just went and got my key and fetched the car myself. I’ve found the service issues at Marriott properties to be lacking in the downtown StL area. Not sure if it’s all brands, as I typically stay Marriott with my Titanium Elite status. That said, it’s worth staying further out and just snagging an Uber for the quality of service and amenities you get outside of downtown.

This is the worse experience I’ve ever had in any hotel history.
Me and my coworker arrived at 8 pm to the hotel and both of us had already “checked in” through our Marriott app since we are Bonvoy members.
When we arrived at the hotel, we still went to the front desk to get a physical key and we both received one.
I get to my room and it looked cleaned. I proceed to take a shower and the shower wasn’t working. You could only take baths so I had to use my hands as a bucket to get water and bath myself. There was also half used toilet paper and that was it.
When I went to lay down on the “clean” bed, I see curls of who knows who. That disgusted me but it was late at night so I just didn’t use any pillows. There was also a dirty qtip in the floor.
Luckily we were attending a conference and didn’t have to be at the room much and also we stayed for 2 nights.
Literally the worst customer service experience and the worse hotel. I wouldn’t stay here ever again and I’m loyal to Marriott but this has changed my mind.

We were in town for a wedding and this is the hotel the wedding party had room blocks for, however this hotel leaves much to be desired. I've stayed at several Marriott properties and unfortunately this one did not measure up. For starters, I was told that I had been upgraded to an allergy-free room, only to have to ask that the housekeeping team give the bathroom floor more attention, as it was obvious it had not been swept or mopped prior to our arrival. The HVAC ventilation needs to be improved, the room smells of cat urine when you turn on the heat, so we just opted to accept the room being cold.
The rooms are very dark with no lighting, very antiquated and don't have the basics i.e. microwaves, walk in showers (due to still having bath tubs). The front desk staff, especially Fred the security staff member were all great, but for the price point, this hotel should be able to offer more amenities and needs a little more razzle dazzle. We are not likely to come back to the Magnolia.

The tv didn’t work. Most channels it would just say “Please wait” and not change channels. Coffee make was broken, replaced by another broken one then replaced with a new one. We couldn’t open the door to the room to put out a sign at 2120. We had to call down and wait 40-45 min for staff to figure out how to get the door open. We had to change rooms at 2215. They did not get the luggage cart or help us to change rooms. New room had a card greeting a different customer and the AC was broken. When trying to change temperature, it wouldn’t work so room too hot. The staff did not do anything to make our one night in St Louis better. All she said was “oh sorry.”
Safety: Deadbolt wouldn’t work and we were stuck in the room for 40 minutes while they tried to figure out what to do!

The worst Holtel I have ever been to, very bad smell in it
Lobby. Terrible service. The only good thing about it is the location. It is not at all what the photos show and 1 Star is a lot of rating.

Great Historic feel to this now modern hotel. Right next the JW Marriott and owned by Marriott, but much quieter an feels more like a local hotel

A wonderful stay. We came to see Sting and Billy Joel in concert and it was postponed due to a hurricane we had escaped from. The staff were very helpful and gave a discount since we needed to stay two more nights to catch the concert. I’m not too excited about the elevators though, but I have past history with old ones. Now the staff in Robie’s are grand, especially Tonny. Two thumbs up to this place.

Everything about this place was on point. The little read into the history of the hotel was a bonus for us. Proximity to Everything we wanted to see and do.

This hotel has the airs of a fancy hotel with none of the amenities. The rooms were small but clean, and cheaply furnished. My room had a dresser that leaned so all the drawers slid open. I braced it with a wadded up towel to keep it in place. The coffee maker leaked as well. The staff were excellent and friendly. My biggest complaint was the valet parking. It’s the only option and costs 48 dollars a night per vehicle. The bar downstairs has a new guy that doesn’t know how to make the drinks listed on the menu but still charges $15 per cocktail. No free breakfast or discounts for the restaurant. Suddenly a $125 room cost me well over $250. The location is great but I recommend getting a hotel just down the road with free breakfast and parking.
