The Missouri History Museum in Saint Louis, located inside Forest Park, offers a small but interesting collection of exhibits focused on the history of Missouri and Saint Louis. Visitors can explore themes like the Louisiana Purchase, the World’s Fair, local sports teams, and notable figures such as Thomas Jefferson and Charles Lindbergh. The museum is praised for its friendly and knowledgeable staff, making it a great place for families and individuals to learn about the area's past. The second-floor café provides a nice spot to relax. Some visitors feel that the exhibits are limited in number and would benefit from more artifacts and items to explore. The museum often hosts themed exhibits, including aviation displays, which provide a great learning experience. Entry is free, making it a worthwhile visit, especially on hot days or for homeschooling activities. Overall, it is a lovely place to enjoy history, art, and a little bit of nature.
Even with alot of the exhibits not ready, the parts that were open were extremely well put together! My kids (8yo and 10yo) enjoyed the whole museum and it was put together in such a way that they actually learned alot!
