We went to the Star Wars symphony here in February, it was stellar. We are going back for The Princess Bride symphony. The theater is beautiful, the staff is professional and kind. Five stars all around. I absolutely adore this venue.

I love the Powell Symphony hall! I go a few times per year and it is always a great time! I recently went to thier free Juneteenth concert and it was spectactular! They had a great program and it is always varied- not just instrumentals by the orchestra, they had the choir singing as well, had a few spoken word moments and they also had some outstanding soloists! I love attending their Christmas concerts too! I love being able to afford tickets relatively close, so I have never had to sit in the nosebleed section. I can't wait to see how their renovations and additions enhances this gorgeous venue!

It's great to have such a classic style theater still around. This is an old school classical style music hall that does many wonderful performances throughout the year.

Took my 11yo to her first symphony and we both loved it. The ushers and hosts were all helpful and encouraging. The music was incredible, the seats comfortable. We went early expecting parking issues but parked in the VA lot with no trouble.

Powell Hall was amazing! My family and I got dressed up and watched the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. What a show!! My daughters enjoyed it so much, they are already asking to go back. This was actually my first time in Powell Hall and I will most definitely be back soon.

Went for the showing of star wars where the symphony plays the soundtrack as the movie plays. Very fun experience. The symphony sounded beautiful. The energy of the conductor was awesome. If you can, buy tickets to a show on a Sunday so street parking is free and you don’t have to worry about the nightmare that is finding parking in the city. The hall was absolutely beautiful. Felt like I was in a movie! The layout of the welcoming hall is not built for the amount of people able to be seated in the performance hall, it was extremely stuffy and packed. The bathroom situation is a nightmare. Those are the only two downfalls. But the staff were friendly and helpful, they had hired people to dress up as star wars characters for pictures which was cute. The price of the tickets were fair. The price of food and drink was super cheap (especially compared to the fox theatre). The seating was comfortable, and spacious.Steep enough to see over the heads of the people in front of you.I will definitely be back!

Excited to experience the SLSO live for the first time. We went to a morning performance and were thrilled by the architecture, the history and the wonderful performance. All the volunteers were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We were treated to coffee and doughnuts when we arrived. Their ticket system flagged us as first-time guests and received a special welcome from one of their volunteers with a coupon to attend another concert of our choice.Powell Hall is 98 years old but it has been very well maintained. We learned that it will soon undergo a major two-year renovation to improve things like more bathrooms and elevators and improved wheelchair access. My only complaint was that the legroom of our seats was very tight. I understand that they are replacing the seating with roomier seats so hopefully that will make it more comfortable. The symphony was fantastic. Although we were in the second level the sound was excellent. We are excited to take advantage of their offer of another performance in the near future.

My hubby took me to the symphony on a surprise date and I loved it . It was a tribute to Whitney Houston night and it was quite elegant. I loved it all . The location was great. Parking was right across the street , thank god since it was so cold. It felt like royalty when you walked in. They gave you fans in case you were hot, a booklet of the night events and coat check for your coats. The singer was great and the music was awesome. Those instruments can make music on its own . The ambience was beautiful. Drinks were expensive and not worth the price and no food was offered. But that's not a deal breaker I'll definitely be back

Always love coming to the symphony - especially at Christmas! It is gorgeous and the musicians are so talented. Their drink prices are also very reasonable. Would recommend during a visit to STL!

Powell is the place to be for a symphony concert. Not like their is a lot competition but despite that I feel like they have made some improvements since my last visit. They now allow you to take your beverage to your seat which is an improvement over having to suddenly gulp down a glass of wine you ordered without realizing you must finish it before the show. Oops. But importantly it is the great acoustics that make this a lovely venue to hear music.

Wonderful space to see live music. The symphony is fantastic. The seats are comfortable. The only company is that for adults, they require you but a 5 dollar cup to take beverages into the hall. For kids performances, they let in all sorts of food and beverage. Kids are more likely to spoil than adults. But the cup is a nice reusable cup, so there's that I guess.

Exquisite is the only word I can use to describe this local landmark. From the moment the doors open a aire of sophistication hits you in the face. Living in modern America one seldom gets to see the old world and yet every single detail transports you back in time and instantly set a level of comfort one seldom finds outside of cultural influences. A must see!

One of the most beautiful buildings I've ever been in is spectacular inside. We went here to watch my daughter perform in Joining Forces on stage at the Powell musicians from three military bands The US Air Force Mid-America band at Scott Air Force Base, The 399th band at fort Leonard Wood, and the 135th Army Band in Springfield team up with the winds brass and percussion of the St Louis Symphony Orchestra. It was really like a dream come true everyone there is very polite, afterwards in the reception area you're able to talk to the conductor and orchestra its really great so welcoming can't wait to go back! Thanks SLSO

Another perfect evening at Powell. The performance was incredible. Since we are becoming regulars, purchased some wine sippy cups.
