My experience at Acosta was great! The shop itself is right on the main drag of Lafayette Square. It was simple and very clean. I have very thin hair that I hadn't had cut in a long time because I wanted to grow it out. When I came into Acosta, I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do with it. Josie, my hairdresser, took the time to talk with me, listen to what I wanted (and didn't want), and gave some suggestions of what she thought would work well for my face shape and hair type. She cut off the exact amount that we discussed, which was a nice change from other salons I have been to that always seem to end up cutting off way more than I want. Also, as mentioned in another review, the scalp massage during the shampooing was great. I will definitely be back!

The best cut and colour I have had EVER! Josie is easy to schedule with and is amazing from the minute you walk in! Loved the salon and the total feeling while there!! In addition to listening to what my concerns were about my hair...Josie took my ideas and meshed them with hers! End result...2 weeks later and I am still in LOVE! I get complimented on my hair ALL the time! Head on over and enjoy the BEST head massage as a bonus! Cheers

Josie is wonderful, she pays special attention to detail and hair type. My haircut turned out just how I wanted. Acosta Hair Design is bright and clean--definitely will be going back!

LOVE. I cannot say enough good things about Acosta and Josie. The space is clean and bright and my hair turned out beautifully. It is soft and nourished and I feel like a new person. You won't regret coming here!

Josie is a color wizard!! She turned my lack luster brassy hair into a shiney chocolate dream! She even educated me on the different types of color. The cut was one of the best I've gotten. She is better than Green Door Salon in Frontenac quality for less money. I couldn't be happier!

I am always anxious when I see a new stylist to cut my thick hair into the pixie style I love. It takes skill to make short hair on a woman look both sleek and feminine. From the first snips, Josie cut with confidence and put me at ease! She has one of my other required talents in a favorite hairdresser, too--she's a talker and keeps me entertained.She also gives a darn good scalp massage during the shampoo. This salon is still in its infancy, and it's clear that Josie has the passion, experience, knowledge, and vision to make it a grand success.
