GREAT SERVICE. I had a breakdown while visiting St Louis and made it to Schicker Ford before needing a tow. The service department jumped on it quickly. Diagnosed the problem, ordered parts and got it repaired as quick as possible. Every one I met there treated me great. The Service Advisor keep me updated on parts delivery and repair time. Everyone at this dealership had a big smile and happy attitude. This is a sign of good management from the top. If you have a St Louis problem this is your answer.

I recently purchased a 2016 Dodge Charger R/T from the Schicker Ford of St. Louis Pre-Owned car lot. The vehicle itself was okay for what I was buying, but I am beyond disappointed and frustrated with my car buying experience through this dealership. There were several shady business practices pulled while they sold me this vehicle, and I wanted to make other buyers aware before they shopped with this dealership.
1.) The car was not as advertised. When we first saw the car online, the photos did not show any glaring body/interior damage that would have been obvious. However, the car had more damage in person than was mentioned online/over the phone. Several exterior trim pieces (such as the running boards and the rear spoiler) were either not mounted properly or flapping loose. Inside the cabin, there were burn holes in the seats, tears in the headliner, cracks in the gauge cluster glass, and chips missing from the tinting in the backseat. The car was advertised as coming with a spare tire, but one was not in the car. The dealership had to be asked several times to provide one in the car before it drove off the lot. There was also mismatched paint on the passenger side front and rear quarter panels, indicative of body damage that had been repaired on the vehicle.
2.) The vehicle had unreported damage. As mentioned previously, the quarter panels on the car appeared repainted as if there had been an accident in the vehicle. The dealership had indicated there was “minor damage”. The CARFAX on the car indicated no collisions, but the service records from the dealership while the car was in their possession were conducive to a front end collision. Parts that had been replaced but not mentioned included: Driver’s front control arms, radiator and fluid replacement, front and rear brakes, driver and passenger front end links/sway bars.
3.) The vehicle was sold having failed inspections. On the CARFAX website and the Schicker website, the vehicle was advertised as having passed both a state safety and emissions test with a 30-Day temp tag. The dealership did not provide proof of those inspections to me before I drove the car off the lot. When I called the dealership two weeks later to obtain proof of inspections they informed me, after holding for one hour, they could not look up the records from several months ago. They insisted several times that I take the car to get an inspection, and they would reimburse the cost. However, when I looked up the VIN number in the GVIP database of inspections, the vehicle showed up as having been inspected while in the dealership's possession. GVIP showed the car had passed the safety inspection, but failed its emissions inspection; once again going against what they had advertised. After another phone call to the dealership with this new information, the records were quickly turned over and the car indeed had failed emissions testing.
It is worth noting that I had the vehicle inspected after it had been licensed in Springfield, MO. The shop I took it to has worked on several of my cars before, and had found that the control arms (which had been shown as repaired through Schicker’s records) had bushings that were completely worn away, and should have failed a safety inspection. I have only owned the car two weeks and driven a total of 500 miles, but Schicker had passed the car when they inspected it back in April of 2024.
This vehicle is exactly the model I was looking for with a strong motor and the right amount of miles. Unfortunately, I wish that I could say that I was pleased with the dealership that I had purchased the car from and their business practices. Buyer beware when buying a used vehicle from Schicker Pre-Owned in STL.

My dad and I went up there today. We didn’t think it was a crime to walk around and look at cars. me and my dad were forced to leave by somebody getting on the PA system saying that we’re trespassing and that we need to leave the lot because they calling the police. They was very rude. like if we’re doing something wrong and when we’re just shopping around never had a problem before walking on a car lot. Just looking around at cars and didn’t know you guys were closed. won’t go back there again.

I reached out to Damen after dealer hours about a 22 ford maverick, he was nice, awnser all my questions confirmed all my needs in the truck. The following day I called him to get pre approved because I was going out of state he approved me! The next day I headed out to Missouri from Chicago and got to drive my dream truck home !

The beginning of my experience was great. I had been in communication with Fallon and her customer service was exceptional. However once I finally had come into contact with a salesman it all went downhill. I had inquired about a specific car I was interested in. The salesman wouldn't discuss anything in front of me regarding numbers. I was not told how much the car would be, the interest rate anything. He went into the other room and spoke with some of the other men and would close the door. He came out twice with different numbers for a down payment. Starting all the way up at 3K and then went down to 1K. He then offered a car completely different then what I had inquired about, again no total of the car or the interest rate or any real details. I had to ask to see the car. I was also told I had somebody co-signing but it turned out they were co-buying and they said she needed to be present. The women I had been working with first told me she would not need to be in the store since they have co-buyers out of state all the time. When I brought this up Andre Branch the car salesman I was working with said "she didn't know what she was talking about and to just not listen to her". This was not experience I was hoping for and I will not do business here every again.
