WARNING BIOHAZARD!!! Bad mold & Rashes on our legs!! We booked our wedding stay here for all of our guests and a bridal suite for me and my husband. From the beginning, the sales associate may was nice but very unresponsive and very confusing. Our hotel stay along with other guests got mixed up several times and made it incredibly difficult to keep track of. A day before the start of our stay they lost the bride and groom suite and had to book us in a different room. THEN comes the stay... our clothes were immediately wet, it was dusty, and strong mildew moldy smelling in the room. THEN we were moved to our next hotel room for the wedding night and it was even wetter and moldier smelling to the point the air was heavy and my wedding dress and all my clothes were wet. The towels in the suite were wet... the air returns are placed right above the showers in every suite so no wonder its so humid inside....the cleaning rags were left by housekeeping, and painters tape was left on the wall in the bedroom.. the TV in the main room was falling off the wall. Then we woke up in the morning after our wedding and we had to get out of the room because there was sewer gas leaking in the room our heads were hurting ( my husband is a plumber so he knows)... the smell was so strong we had to leave the room early. We along with several of our guests are sick with upper respiratory symptoms from the mold. THIS BUILDING IS A BIOHAZARD!!!! we were supposed to checkout of the hotel the next day but we decided to leave early because of how uncomfortable it was to be inside. The staff was very nice however it is clear that marriot bonvoy does not care for their employees and establishments enough... this hotel will go out of business at this rate...

Great spot in the city of Clayton, Missouri couple blocks away from a park has a restaurant along with close coffee, shops, and other things on the city streets to enjoy.
Rooms: Consider that this is an older building with very unique characteristics, overall very clean and elegant.
Walkability: There’s a park nearby along with shops in the nearby radius.

Seven Gables Inn needs to be thanked for playing a part in what was one of my favorite trips I've taken. Rather than buying a bunch of gifts for my 8 year old son's birthday, I decided to take him to Stl to stay at Seven Gables and go to the Science Center. The trip was a massive success and our stay at Seven Gables was as well. Lil G absolutely loved the room and how special the staff made him feel. The staff upgraded our room after hearing why we were visiting and I'll be grateful forever because of it. See the pics of our room and Lil G enjoying every square inch of it. Thanks again!!!

So disappointed in this hotel. Myself along with 30ish coworkers stayed here for an event 10 days ago that was supposed to be paid through my work....Seven Gables made a mistake and charged all of us individually instead of charging our company and has still not refunded us. I spoke with the front desk and they informed me that their sales department never told them to charge the company card and that's why all of us were charged individually instead. Myself, along with other employees and my company have reached out to Seven Gables asking for this to be resolved and it has not. We checked out of this hotel on Wednesday, June 26th, I am writing this review on Saturday, July 6th and Seven Gables told me it MIGHT still take 7+ business days to receive my refund. Every time I have called I keep just getting told "we are working on it" but have not received any solid answers. We were each charged around $700 and it feels like Seven Gables does not know how to process refunds. Ridiculous!

This is an older, historic hotel that feels a bit European in it's layout. I really enjoyed my stay. Staff was very friendly. The toilet has a bidet and heated toilet seat. Talk about luxury!
Linens are soft and the room was very clean.
Breakfast is complimentary and made from scratch. Parking is $9 per day and the surface lot is directly across the street.
The floors and stairs do creak so I'd try for a top level room if possible. Also using a white noise app on your phone at night helps.
There is a restaurant located in the first floor that has good food and a bar.
While they do not have a gym or pool, they offer two free complimentary passes to the recreation center that is just a short walk or drive (and the facility is impressive!).
Nearby activities: Park within walking distance.

Beautiful old fashion hotel. Very friendly staff, from the front desk, breakfast attended, housekeeping and bartenders everyone was very kind and went out of their way to make sure I had a great stay. Highly recommend!

Absolutely outstanding stay! From the moment we walked in, Nick at the front desk greeted us with a friendly and welcoming smile that set the tone for our entire visit. His exceptional hospitality made us feel right at home.
The room was fantastic, with incredibly comfortable beds that ensured a great night's sleep. The property itself exudes historic charm, adding a unique and delightful atmosphere to our stay. The hotel's location is perfect, with many wonderful restaurants just a short walk away, making dining options both convenient and diverse.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful stay!
Walkability: Very walkable to local restaurants.

This place has potential to be good. But my wife and I stayed here back in February and my wife developed a rash on her leg. The hotel nor Marriott was able to work with us to provide a different room or compensation. They need to be held responsible for their inaction.

The hotel is in a great location and the room is decent. Stayed here on a business trip because the location was convenient. It's near lots of good restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel itself is a bit lacking in service and amenities. The Wi-Fi was inconsistent and there is no gym on-site. The restaurant is currently shut down for renovations but the bar is open and there is daily breakfast provided. The room itself is actually very nice with comfy beds and a good layout. A mini fridge and coffee maker in the room as well, a very nice bathroom with a stand-up shower, and a good desk to work on. The hotel does have a bit of a rustic charm to it with a nice courtyard in the middle and the hallways look to be the original hallways before the rooms were renovated. It's a decent hotel for a couple of nights but I wouldn't recommend it for a business trip.
