Great store for art supplies, pens and stationary. Very nice staff, especially the young redhead, who was very helpful. Don't forget to close the door on your way in, because Malcolm the cat will escape!

Stopped by this hidden gem while we were travelling through the area. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, and Malcolm is just the sweetest kitty. They have a nice collection of art supplies, including fountain pens, inks, paper, etc. I definitely plan to buy from them again online, and visit whenever I'm in the area again.

My favorite shop for fountain pens, ink, art supplies, and paper! The staff are knowledgeable and take the time to help answer questions or find the next best product for you. I will be back in the near future for my next restock.

My first time experience here was purrfect! They had a massive selection of items to chose from and be absorbed by! I was able to purchase my items with the assistance of the staff, including Malcom! He was a very purrfesional cat in helping me make my Traveler’s Notebook selections and the staff member that was on hand was helpful and made the shopping experience a treat! I hope to visit again soon so I can fully immerse myself in the bits and bobs of what wonderful writing implements that they provide!

Took my wife here. She is the artist not me. This is a hidden little spot. I found after a search. Super friendly worker there. Had a super friendly cat there.
Wife uses pencils and Chaulks as a medium. Said the selection was good. The prices were better than the bigger stores..but a fair enough margin to keep coming back all the time.
They won a new artist in my wife

St. Louis Art Supply has many hard -to -find and interesting items. They are quick to ship items and they are also quick to respond to any issues with an order. I recently purchased a travel brush that had bent bristles upon arrival. The staff at St. Louis handled my issue in a kind and generous way. I was promptly sent a new brush along with an addressed envelope in which to send the damaged brush back. St. Louis Art Supply has an impressive supply of Schmincke and Gansai Tambi items- as well as many interesting nibs and nib holders. They also sell Mitsubishi Hi- uni pencils in sets and in individual sets- which, by far, are my favorite pencils. I highly recommend St. Louis Art Supply!

I placed an order for the kakimori brass nib, which I have not been able to find in stock anywhere! I called to check on my order since it was my first purchase from this store. They were so helpful and friendly, and my package came super quickly. Super happy with my purchase and with the excellent customer service. Just goes to show you should always support your local art shops!

I love this place in every size, shape, and location it has come in through the years. SLAS a wonderful art store run by folks who have both intense passion and knowledge of the supplies they stock. They also have a sweet store kitty, which is always a bonus.
