I've gotten loans with not so great credit. I've always had over draft protection. I've been with them for years and not one problem

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and frustration with the service and misinformation I have encountered at St. Louis Community Credit Union. The lack of professionalism and accurate communication has caused me significant emotional distress, financial hardship, and a negative mark on my credit history.
On September 25, 2024, my Kia Soul was deemed a total loss after it was stolen. My insurance company promptly made their payment, and I was informed by an associate at the Big Bend branch that the remaining balance would be covered by my GAP insurance. I was assured that I had no further responsibilities regarding loan payments. Trusting this information, I did not make any additional payments. However, this advice turned out to be false, leading to a negative impact on my credit history—a consequence I am now unfairly burdened with.
To make matters worse, I later received conflicting and misleading information about my GAP insurance policy. I was told that the GAP insurance payout would cover the remaining loan balance minus $5,000, and that the difference—around $2,000—would be deposited into my checking account. Based on this, I structured my budget accordingly. When the payment finally arrived, it was only $33—far from what I had been led to believe.
Can you imagine the stress and turmoil this has caused me during the holiday season? Losing my car has already left me without transportation. Now, I am also grappling with financial instability due to misinformation from your staff. The lack of accurate communication and proper training at your branches has been both costly and emotionally exhausting. The consequences of these mistakes fall squarely on me.
I hope you will address this matter urgently and take steps to ensure no other members experience the same frustration and hardship. Please let me know how St. Louis Community Credit Union plans to rectify the negative impact this situation has caused.

Idk who TAMMARA is in member service department but she is extremely rude. I banked with this bank for 10 years and the service I have received the last couple of months specifically from this person in this department is utterly disgusting and I will be filing a complaint.

I have been member for more then 18 years, the time I really needed the CU to act as a transfer agency as they are, on my behalf, they fail with flying coloring. I have several transactions that they fell to address, No CEO, No manager, no Trustee, no supervisor not one of them have resolve my 9 months problem. I have sent them three register mail, that they calm they neve received, the Post office confirm they received it, yet, not one staff members was or willing to address my problem. Now, I have to contact the Consumer protection bureau and the Attorney General, and soon reaching out to Channel Now I am force to take legal action on something that take only a day to resolve. I feel totally disrespected and ignored, question is why and what did I do to deserve this kind of treatment. I came to main location 4 times only to get again disrespected again.. My value to my documents is over $30,000. As a member I feel more like a step child. Plus they told me for 9 months they do not have an Trustee, yet, I found several statements, and ads that they put out, showing name and location of their trustee, who refuse to call me back too. Yet, they says they care about their members. That is a joke. It is a shame I have to go this far to get my result.

I've had an auto loan with St.Louis Community Credit Union for about 16 months and set up reoccurring payments within their website system. Everything was working smoothly until I received an email this week that my account was past due and that I'm being charged a late fee. When I called to find out why my January payment didn't post they told me it was something my bank did and to check with them. That didn't seem right as I had set up the reoccurring payments with STL Community system. I called Commerce Bank and they told me that there wasn't anything blocking payments from my account so I called STL Community back and got a different person who told me that I needed to pay the past due amount (with the late fee) and then re-sign up for reoccurring payments in their system. I was never given any notice that I needed to take action to remain on reoccurring payments so I asked if they could wave the late fee. The guy checked with his supervisor and was told that they would not wave the late fee. I have never been late with a payment since I took out the loan so I told them that I was really disappointed that they would not wave the late fee and that I will be paying off my loan soon and will never do business with them again.

I was waiting in line as an elder was helped by a teller. Passion, the teller, was extremely patient with the cu member who had multiple transactions. She even helped spell out some info for him to go on the money order. I came in rushing but after watching them for 10 minutes, I settled down. I can only hope there's more people like her to take time with people who need that extra help.

The on sight staff are helpful and get the issues situated. The underwriters leave much to be desired.

Came to the Forest Park location early in the morning the other day to deposit some money before I headed back out of town. There was a lady there when I get there also trying to deposit cash only for us both to discover the atm was no longer allowing cash deposits, only checks. Excuse me? When did that change happen?? So we were unable to make our deposits and I went to see if I could just do the night drop, of course there were no night drop envelopes in the container so I wasn't able to make that deposit after all. If you're not going to allow cash deposits via the atm anymore you could at least make sure the night drop is stocked with envelopes .

There is always a line and just one teller working. They also advertise shared branch banking. But you have to do the deposit at the a t m on the sidewalk. Yeah, like I'm going to expose all my cash in St. Louis on the sidewalk. What a crock.

My husband passed a year in half ago. I had a large sum of money in my account. During this grief period and still grieving. I asked the Rep, how did I spend over a certain dollars amount in a year and have nothing to show. It’s impossible. Please give me a copy of my statements for the last two years. The Rep that printed the statements is gone for a month and no one can find them. The new Rep says it will cost me 150.00 to review my own account. They need to tell me where my money has gone. Very dissatisfied and I will be moving the remainder of my money. You should have confidence in your banking institution where you’re saving your money.
