Supercuts Review – First and Last Visit
I arrived at Supercuts a few minutes before my scheduled appointment at 10:20 AM. The website states that the store opens at 10:00 AM, and my appointment was the very first slot of the day. I booked with Jasmine, but when I arrived, she was already servicing another customer—a man with a short haircut.
I asked how long it would be since I had a 12:00 PM meeting. My expectation was that I would be seen promptly at my scheduled time. Instead, by 11:00 AM, I still had not been serviced. Jasmine explained that my shampoo, blowout, and cut would take 45 minutes to an hour, which means there was no way I could have been finished before my meeting if I started that late.
When I explained my time constraint, she told me I shouldn’t have booked knowing I had a noon meeting. However, I booked the very first appointment online specifically to avoid delays, so this response was disappointing. She also mentioned that walk-ins are accepted—yet I don’t understand why a walk-in was taken before honoring the first appointment of the day.
This was my first visit to Supercuts, and Jasmine’s handling of the situation felt unprofessional and lacked empathy. Rather than offering a solution—such as a discount, rescheduling with priority, or an apology—she focused on defending her point of view.
There was also another staff member present, but Jasmine allowed her to leave. When she returned—with a push cart of groceries—Jasmine said she could service me, but by then my schedule no longer allowed it.
If Jasmine is a great stylist, I’ll never know, because I won’t be back. First impressions matter, and this one left me feeling unheard, undervalued, and frustrated.
