I hired this firm for strategic planning and a plan to help minimize the tax burden for my small business. Instead I received lackluster customer service and a service that could have been acquired through a basic CPA firm. Truly disappointed with my service and overpriced bill for the meager service that I received.

Mr. Smith has helped my family out so many times. Several years ago I was a victim of tax fraud from identity theft, and he really guided us through the process of dealing with the IRS (which was trying to get restitution from me for the money that they'd lost). My son in the Army was in the midst of returning from deployment during tax season last year and Mr. Smith helped him file on time. He's a fantastic CPA who really cares about his clients.

After 3 years of doing business with Dave Smith I received a letter today saying that he wants to send me to a different CPA. This comes after paying him $400 promptly each year to do my individual tax return. Dave said in his letter that my return isn't “complex†enough. In other words he's too “big time†and too much of a “prima donna†to help me any longer. Dave didn't have the courage to tell me this over the phone. In fact I just had a recent conversation with SSC accountant Alan Dierker and everything seemed fine. Don't believe this company's mission statement. It's an absolute joke. I found out in a letter that I'm just a number to them. Rather than help me succeed, like they claim to do, they tried to pawn me off to someone else. Please take your business elsewhere.. Some place where it will actually be appreciated and they won't kick you to the curb because your taxes aren't “complex†enough, meaning they don't make enough money off you to want to do your taxes. Good riddance Dave. I have full confidence that I can find someone on my own to help me with my taxes rather than listen to your cowardly recommendation to a complete stranger.

David Smith is a true professional. I can't imagine anyone is better than David at taking care of his clients. If you want a CPA that is proactive for you, is a great listener and understands your needs David Smith is the guy you want.
