Amazing scenery with quiet greens, disc golf course is great when you want to escape. Some of the fairways could've been in better condition but overall this was a good course

The course is not rated correctly for a woman golfer. The scorecard has a different set of red tees that are not the distances on the golf course. The course is shorter which would be fine but I could not handicap and enter the score on ghin - it was very slow on a Saturday afternoon with three groups backed up on most holes. No marshal came out to check on the groups. Cart girl was attentive. Clubhouse is attractive. Nice track and some great views.

I have been playing golf here since 1994 when I lived in STL. The golf course has always been a go to place to play for me. My friends and I arrived at the bag drop and there are always folks there to meet and greet us and place are bags on carts. This is an added value for a daily fee course, and the folks manning that station are always welcoming and ready to serve. I paid a senior rate of $48 and that was exceptional value for this course. Half the putting green was not available for use, but we were still able to putt before our round started. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. The first nine holes the "Woodland's" was in great shape with the exception that they had punched the greens and they were very bumpy, and tough to judge speed and line. We made the turn and a cupola in our group stopped for refreshments and that was smooth and efficient. The second nine was the "Prairie" and it was in wonderful shape and the greens were rolling true and consistent. After our round we grabbed some food. I will only comment on mine because the rest of my party did not comment on quality or speed of service. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with pepper jack cheese, onions, pickles, tomatoes, and jalapeños, on a bun. The chicken was dry, the bun was cold. The sandwich would have tasted so much better with a toasted bun and properly grilled chicken breast. If you want a great place to golf in STL, try Tapawingo and you won't be disappointed.

We found the location to be easy to find but quaintly tucked away. A beautiful upscale venue with a nice mix of indoor & outdoor spaces. Chris and his staff were both friendly and very accommodating. We would love to come back for another wedding soon!

Wow! Chris and the entire Tapawingo team gave us the most magical evening for our wedding ceremony and reception. The staff was so friendly and helpful, Chris was there supporting us in whatever we needed, the food was AMAZING (even better than when we did the tastings), I could go on and on about the wonderful experience we had there along with our guests. They went above and beyond and we're so appreciative. I would highly recommend considering them when planning your event!

We golfed here in early April and the course was in great shape for being aerated the week prior. Not necessarily an easy course, but definitely a fun challenge.
Of the 3-9 hole courses they have, we played from the whites on Woodlands and Prairie. It was wet from rain the week before so we were cart path only, which added a little time to our round but nothing out of the ordinary. The Woodlands 9 is fun with not too much water, where as the Prairie 9...well, you might want to bring your scuba gear if you're not hitting straight because there's plenty of water. #4 on Woodlands and #9 on Prairie are both long holes...just when you think you're there, you realize you've got a healthy distance to the greens. Maybe we caught the grounds crew on a bad day because their pin placements were brutal - or perhaps they were just trying to challenge us ;)
The new ownership that took over (March '13, I believe) has done a nice job making the clubhouse a place to stay for post round food & cocktails. I have a few friends who live in the neighborhood and they say they've done a great job at reaching out to the neighbors and making the clubhouse a community gathering spot. They definitely have the room inside and a beautify patio with great views of the course.
Overall - definitely a fun course and one I'll visit again soon.
