Up charging. Bad practice. Shame on me for not going over the entire rental agreement before leaving the counter at Tampa International Airport at Midnight? After declining every additional upgrade, the agent was suggesting he still managed to include Satellite radio, 19.00 for 4 days. Booked my rental thru company website and charged a frequent flyer surcharge of 8 dollars. I wonder how many people per are price gouge, no one catches or complains about added charges. When I called to go over the bill, the agent I spoke with had no answers for the frequent flyer surcharge, and the Satellite radio my fault for not catching it and signed the agreement.

Great customer service. Rented here July 1st, after seeing the line at Budget at least 30 people deep, 2-3 hour wait. The rep here was very accommodating we were in & out in less than 10 min. Upon return- a nice shuttle van arrive within 5 min to take us to airport. The car was a few years old 2020, no issues at all drove well. All the workers really made the rental experience nice. Will rent here again.

Thirty at STL Airport requires only local residents to give a $200 hold deposit. Out of town renters only are required a $50 deposit. Also, they must actually call and talk to your auto insurance company " literally on the phone" before you can rent. Not the case for put of town renters

I never go on to write a bad review but today is the exception. I had reservations for a car for 2pm, the location itself calls me and says the car will not be ready at 2, and could I come between 2:30 to 3. I had to make travel arrangements (which is why I was renting a car in the first place) to get there but said I could accommodate them. I arrived at 3:30 due to traffic on 270 and (surprise!!) the location was empty and closed. This was on a Thursday where posted hours are to be open til 5pm. To add insult to injury, I had spoken to the office to let them know I was on the way, so they knew I was coming. When calling the 800 number for Thrifty they were confused as to why the location was closed and offered zero solution to the situation and didn’t offer any sort of support for the horrible inconvenience. I will be telling everyone I know about my experience and I believe this is the first bad review I have ever written in my entire life. Do not rent from this company or this location.

Sabrina saved the day! I believed I had booked a car through the IHG website but there was no record of me with Thrifty and I never did get a confirmation number from IHG. But Sabrina took care of me, quickly, got me a car for my trip, and was able to basically match the price IHG quoted me. I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Thrifty at the STL airport.

Worst car rental experience of my life.Waited in line for over an HOUR for my rental.Returned with a Full tank of gas. They stated in was not FULL enough and just sent me a bill for $38.48! They stated it 3.53 gallons short. Funny, my receipt from the gentleman that took in my car says it was FULL. I will never use them again!

Shout out to Malisa, Chris and the driver(forgot to ask for his name). They took care of us and gave us some great food recommendation.Side note to the driver: Sadly, we did not hit a 300 in bowling.

Best car rental experience I have had. Sabrina was amazing. She is the most kind person I have probably ever interacted with when it comes to retail and just genuinely made the process even better. She was very thorough on reviewing the vehicle and process and procedures of the company to ensure a smooth transaction.Thank you for everything

Terrible service, the one at Kirkwood MO. We rented a van for a trip to Florida from St. Louis MO. We ended up getting a flat tire. We call the company and they said to go to the nearby thrifty to get a replacement. We go to the nearby thrifty car rental and they tell us that we can’t get a replacement van because it’s privately own and that we would have to replace the tire and would not receive an reimbursement to get the tire fix. We drove an hour out of our way because we were told that we would be given a replacement. We call the company back and the person at the desk name Jessica was bothered that we were upset for being lied to and cut off the car so we couldn’t drive the van. We had to call her back to turn the van on. Our entire family was furious for the unprofessionalism and the inconvenience that this company has put us through. Don’t be cheap, rent from a professional.

I had a very bad experience with Hertz from the airport and needed a car desperately.I reserved a car from Thrifty in Kirkwood and had the best experience from the rental manager there, Sabrina Manley. She got me in a vehicle and since the car had just come from a different spot and the outside was not washed yet, she personally went outside and scrubbed and cleaned the outside of my rental. I couldn't be more satisfied with the interaction and will definitely go back to Thrifty next time I need a rental car.

Rented a car at the Wilmington airport location. 286 was agreed upon amount for a vehicle similar to a hero Cherokee. They gave me a mini van. Then they charged 250 for “excessive dirt” characterized in contract as “pet hair or smoke” I did neither. Next they are demanding 600 for “damages” that were absolutely not there upon turning car in and they did not notify me until a week after. I asked to see a receipt for repairs and was told that they do repairs in bulk? So am I just paying them for other repairs? Have complained multiple times with no answer.Bottom line: this company is shady and will try to steal your money. I will never recommend this rental company and will continue to preach against them. Use literally any other rental company or just buy a car…it’ll be cheaper.
