Scheduled a drop off. When I got there the receptionist yelled at me and cussed me out when i went to the door. I would never leave my dog with them since this is the way they greet you. First time trying to get set up with them. Awful experience

I've been bringing my dog Lucy here for 7 years now. I have recently moved about a half-hour farther away, and I still make the drive to come here. Dr. Deb and her staff are amazing people with an amazing pet clinic.

update.,...Everything was fine with the service until they ran out of the opioid. I was given 10 pills and then was told by their rude associate when the pills ran out and his cough returned I had two choices the first of which was just to listen to his coughing that went on for hours and hours or I could put him down. Neither option that was provided with suitable. With a little time on the Google machine I discovered lindenwood pharmacy. There is a wonderful pharmacist there that specializes medications for pets by prescription only. This was a godsend for both me and my cocker! My cocker who is the senior citizen and blind as received nothing but the best care eye Doctor Johnson and her staff

The receptionist greeted me this am by asking if I have a working phone. I told her it is on do not disturb until 8 am. She then called me a liar because she called me at 8:08, while it was on do not disturb as I was driving to the appointment. She then proceeded to say “F you” and again called me a liar. I have never been treated so horribly as I am taking care of my dying, aging dog!! Thank you. This is not the first time she has been incredibly rude to my family. I would like to know who owns this facility. Dr. Johnson has always been a great vet. This is unbelievable-Dr Johnson finally got back to me. Of course, she defended the disgraceful actions of the receptionist.

The vet is great, but the staff (receptionist) is *extremely* rude and talks down to pet owners going as far as personally attacking them - read the reviews, all experiencing the same hardship and I never leave reviews but I felt this was necessary for those shopping for pet care.

Dr. Johnson is the best. She knows my dogs and goes above and beyond to accommodate their (and my) needs. We have giant breeds with all sorts of issues and we honestly couldn't ask for a better vet. 10/10. Highly recommend.

Everyone here is not only very qualified and professional but they work hard to build trust with your pets so the visits aren't quite so scary for you or your little ones

They always take great care of our babies. We've been bringing our two dogs and cat here for years. When our beloved cat got very sick very quickly, they gave her the best possible care and recommendations. It turns out that she passed that night, as the doctor said was possible, so we were able to have her home and in bed with us surrounded with love and comfort in her last hours. They then handled her cremation for us and even sent us a condolence card a few days later. In the past, I also had to bring my mom's dog in for euthanasia, and it was a very peaceful process. They are very busy, which is the only drawback, as it can take weeks to get in for a simple appointment like getting nails trimmed, but that just goes to show how good they are.I'm grateful for WSAC for taking care of our babies as if they're their own. ❤️

June 8th, 2022 at West Side Animal Clinic in St. Louis, MO WORST VISIT EVER!!!! Our friends were going on a family vacation to Colorado The 2nd week of June and asked us to watch their 12 year old dog Maddy. No problem! Maddy is a wonderful, sweet dog. When Maddy was dropped off at our house, her Mom said she hadn't been opening her mouth much lately and the vets office didn't seem concerned about it when she had called. They told her to bring her in if it got worse. After having Maddy for 1.5 days, I noticed she was getting worse and it was concerning to me. She was still eating soft food and drinking little bits of water, but I wanted her to go to the vet asap. The owners called their vet Dr. Johnson at West Side and they were able to get Maddy in on Wednesday, June 8th. I dropped Maddy off at 745 in the morning. In the meantime, I was speaking with my friend/ vet about Maddy's condition, and without examining her, she thought it could be Masticatory muscle myositis. Dr. Kerckhoff at Webster Groves Animal Hopsital had treated other dogs with this condition using steroids. When Dr. Johnson at West Side called me in the afternoon, she said they talked to the vet specialist and they wanted Maddy transferred and to be kept overnight where they would put her under anesthesia the next day and pry her mouth open. I said, let me talk with the owners because I can't make that kind of decision for them. After discussing with the owners, we decided to take her to Webster Groves Animal Hospital where Dr. Kerckhoff works and try the more conservative route first, before putting a 12 year old dog under general anesthesia. I went to West Side Animal Clinic to pick Maddy up that afternoon where I was treated the worst I have ever been treated in my life. I walked in and said I am here to pick up Maddy. Could I have any records that you have for today and the xrays so I can take them with me? The vet, Dr Johnson, popped her head out and said "I haven't had time to get the paperwork done yet. Are you taking her to the vet specialist now?." I said, "no, we decided to take her to Webster to get a second opinion." Dr. Johnson then said, they can't give her steroids, because I gave her a nonsteroidal injection today." They were authorized to get bloodwork and Xrays; But they gave her the injection and a muscle relaxer. As I was in the lobby, I heard a woman yelling down the hall at me. " COME GET YOUR DOG, I AM NOT HELPING YOU TO THE CAR WITH HER." I was taken back by this and so confused what the issue was. "COME GET YOUR DOG, HERE'S THE LEASH, TAKE HER AND GO." I walked down the hall and said "I'm sorry I don't understand what the problem is here." She then said "you neglected your dog, that's the problem." I explained, its not my dog and she said "clearly!". I said I am trying to help her and she said well you brought her in 5 days too late. I asked the vet tech what her name was and she said "its none of your damn business". I tried to get Maddy up, but she's a 93lb dog and was dead weight and none of them would help me. I walked back down the hall and called the owners to explain to them how poorly I was being treated. They called the vet office and they would not let them speak to Dr Johnson telling them she was busy. I was the only one in the office, so she was NOT BUSY. The incredibly rude vet tech yelled down the hall at me again to come get the dog. By this point I was in tears, because I just wanted to help the dog and this treatment was uncalled for. The vet tech then said to me "oh don't start crying now, nobody feels sorry for you." I turned and looked at her and said "you are an awful person." She said back to me..."takes one to know one". Very mature. Dr. Johnson sat there and listened to this entire encounter and did NOTHING to stop her staff from treating me that way. I was completely in shock. Dr. Johnson finally helped me get Maddy in my car and tol
