Workers are too busy playing on their phone to help anyone. I would rather spend my money at a store that is willing to help the customer rather than look at multiple customers needing help and get on their phone instead.

Terrible customer service and the customer service number is no better. Thankfully there's other sporting good stores to spend my money at. And they wonder why everyone shops online. Terrible Terrible store.

Bought an $80 Volleyball here. To play with in the sand the night I purchased it. Took it to the courts that night blew it up with my pump that I keep in my bag, within the first game players are complaining that it’s not round. It’s essentially got bladder issues. Did I mention that it’s an $80 Volleyball.
I don’t go to the mall and it would show because I ordered this (and all of my previous Dick’s orders) online. Picked it up at the curb along.
So this is the first opportunity I’ve had to return it. They won’t take it back.
Because I wrote on it and they can’t resell it.
I explained to them that they can’t resell it anyway because it’s not round. Volleyballs are supposed to be round, or at least so I thought.
But he said it has been played with, and we can’t take it back. Because we can’t resell it, our policy is that it must be unused and resell able.
Once again, I stated, you’re not going to resell it. It will go back to the manufacturer. There is a defect in the ball (even if my name wasn’t on it, which it was on it because it’s an $80 ball and I was playing in a public place and didn’t want to lose $80) you could not resell this ball. It has to go back to the manufacturer.
I’m sorry ma’am you’ll have to deal with a manufacturer then. I can’t take it.
Moral of the story, no more Dick’s. Academy Sports has never been this absurd.

I was in on 4/27/24. They had the exact shoe I wanted. My size. The color I needed as well. They only had 1 pair. The store associate was very knowledgeable. With the questions I asked. The shoes weren't cheap. Nothing is cheap anymore today. They also had a great collection of shoes to choose from. Store is clean & well organized.

Trying on shoes was different than trying on shoes elsewhere. There is some kind of computer system in place that collects the shoes. After asking for shoes they asked my name and never went to get the shoes because the system gets the shoes and passes it through a small pass through.

Needed a pair of shoes. Walked in and looked around several minutes. Saw no one attending that department. Saw clerks in other departments talking to each other. Walked out.

Dick’s is your hub for Stanley cups and Owala water bottles! Huge selection. They have all types, styles, and colors. We also love Dick’s for their kid size mouth guard and glove selection. Multiple kid sizes in sporting equipment. Very helpful!

Pretty good place to get sports gear/items. I used to get my soccer stuff from here. Nice staff and environment
