The two stars is for this branch specifically, not FCCU as a whole. The people working there are rude and have an attitude when I tried withdrawing money from my own account, making a big fuss about how I wanted it withdrawn and asking what I need my own money for ? It shouldn’t be any of their business what I do with my own money or if I want to withdraw my money a certain way.

We moved to Missouri a few years back and joined First Community since it was close and we could get debit cards immediately. We banked there for 4 years. I recently ended up filing for Bankruptcy. I own that and my mistakes with credit cards. After filing - First Community by company policy joyfully CLOSED every single account my name was on. Car loans - closed. Checking and Savings - closed. No warnings. My paycheck, my spouse's paycheck - all in limbo because they were set up for our joint account that was closed without our knowledge. Now we are scrambling to pay for food for us and our children, since our funds were locked up and frozen. The only way they would even discuss opening any of the money back to my partner, because they won't talk to me, was to surrender my car. Yet, if I don't still make payments on a car I no longer have in my possession, they will freeze and seize my partner's funds - AGAIN.FCU practices the art of cross collateralization, where if you make a mistake with one account, in this case my credit card, they take everything as collateral on it. No one mentions the cross collateralization until they seize everything.

Honestly, this is a review for First Community as a whole and not specific to the people who work at this branch.They’re extremely outdated- when making my purchases, I routinely hear the “oh I see the first community card” so they know I’m unable to TAP purchase. It’s a minor thing but not having access to something 90% of merchants use kind of sucks.Their online banking portal is ancient- like 2014 style and that’s with their most recent update. I don’t know how they could have make it worse but they did.Also their Mobil deposit limits and what they accept make it extremely difficult for the on the go banker. They hold any check for a few days, even payroll. The limit they release is extremely low compared to what other institutions allow. If you don’t need access to your funds or you are able to actually deposit at the branch- your banking experience will likely be okay. If you use your card to pay bills and limit how you use their online bill pay- you’ll be fine.If you’re someone who utilized online banking/bill pay, Mobil depositing and like to have up to date tech for payment….honestly you have better options. Their customer service is fine but is it good enough to overlook what they lack? I say no, but hey it’s your money.

I’m done dealing with this bank they have somehow got my credit card lost in the mail. Then with the replacement i got a call telling me it was there. After confirming with the lady on the phone it was the cottleville location, I went to pick it up I was told it was no where to be found. It’s unbelievable

On-line banking impossible to set up. Called help #, no help at all. Phone app, same thing. Will close account & move funds to UMB, much more user friendly. (Notice how they only comment on the good reviews

I have been banking here for 3 or 4 years. The staff is always friendly and say hello to me by name when I enter the building or use the drive thru. If I have a concern with my account, they are always helpful and make it a pleasure to do business with them. I would never consider going anyplace else for my banking needs.

Yeah should have came here first to see all the low stars for loans with this company.First, I have had an account (checking and savings) for more than 10+ years6 months I came in to refinance my auto loan, they said get above 680 you'll be setCome in today above 700, gave me hoops to jump through and said I don't make enough for the loan, that I'm already paying for...long time anything with these people don't mean a thing.There word? Worthless.

I'd avoid getting a loan with them. Lots of issues. I have two that are almost paid off and I'll never come back. Scott's credit union would be a better choice
