GameStop is knowledgeable and I like that you can get used or new games, staff usually is good with recommendations; however, trying to return holiday merchandise/ gifts was a bad experience.There marketing said return any holiday purchases by Jan 18. My actual return slip when I processed the return online said bring to a store by Jan 29; and then a store refused to take the return on the 18th. A second location said returns weren’t possible since there computer system didn’t allow them past the 17th.But once I pulled up all the documents the second store finally figured out how to override the system.That experience overpowers the good experience when purchasing. (I was returning because we received two Switches. The package had not been opened, but had arrived late after paying for expedited shipping. And after the first order was cancelled. )

So glad this store is still open. 31 yr old son used to make this location his go-to place growing up for any video question or game or gaming device. I called recently for help on a gaming related book and the person who answered the phone was as knowledgeable about current games as older type games & I was impressed by the broad knowledge the person had of gaming and games over the past 15 years. While they didn’t carry the book I wanted they made a couple of great suggestions for where I could find it. Still a great place for gaming considering the massive changes in gaming system use & in gaming devices.

A couple of months ago I bought a used PS5 controller for $75. I had no complaints until a week after I bought it and it had stick drift. Now I normally wouldn’t complain but I didn’t have my receipt and I paid in cash. So I couldn’t get a new one.At first I continued playing with it because I didn’t wanna spend the money to get a new one and it wasn’t that bad. Now 3 weeks later the controller now has stuck drift and the a line stick likes to hold back. Meaning it holds me back from moving R3.Now I can’t go to the store and get my money back or a new controller. This is very very annoying and frustrating. When I spend $75 on a USED keyword USED. I expect it to be in decent condition and not have stick drift.I’d like to get an exchange for a NEW controller not used. What a shame this is what you get for $75 you think they would sell good products like what a freaking rip offIf you plan to buy used don’t take the risk buy new it’s more expensive yes but worth it to save your butt

I purchased the Modern Warefare PS5 for a birthday gift. The seal on the PS5 was pull up and not sticking to the box but I was assured it had been locked in their office and it was okay. Once the Playstation was given, the box was opened and the pieces all seemed to be there except for the code for the modern warfare. I contacted the store the first time and was told that it was loaded into the store. After getting logged onto the PS5, it in fact was not there. I called back again and received the same answer. I decided to go to the store in person. The sales associate that was there whwn I originally purchased the PS5 was there. The store manager was called. She advised the clerk the DM needed to be contacted. That they would be able to warranty out the game and just replace it because the warranty was purchased. The clerk called the DM but did not leave a message. He simply told me she was busy and he would try again layer. A few more days pass by and Noone ever called back. I finally decided to reach out to customer service and told the whole story. The customer service representative told me that I needed to call Playstation that it was their issue. I said how is that so whwn the seal.was broken on the box? She told me that I needed to call them and then she HUNG up on me!!! There is so much that went wrong here and NO one has been willing to help. Absolutely the worst customer expierence of my life. I will not go back to this location ever.

Weird vibes. The only person they had working was juggling too many things at once. No welcome in, no Hi, no do you need help with anything. My Husband found a controller for the Switch that he liked and walked up to ask the cashier if they had anymore. It was a Wireless controller and she took it and told us it shouldn’t haven been on the floor and put it back behind the counter and then tried to tell us about the wires ones which we didn’t want. My Husband asked how much it rang up for and she said $55, I told her that’s not right, the sign said $27.99 and she walked me over and told me nope, it was in the wrong spot and offered no solution to the mistake and told us if we wanted it it’s $55+. The store was a little disheveled, had a pretty mildewy smell which I’m sure is from the flooding last year and the cashier unfortunately looked like she hadn’t showered in some time. Had the most monotone voice and attitude and wasn’t much help at all.
