Website says they will cut keys on key fobs, but you get there and they don’t because you didn’t buy the key from them. They totally *can* do it, but won’t . So much for trying to serve the customer… Don’t waste your time here.

Recently when shopping at Ace, I used the birthday rewards to purchase Ace weed and feed to use this fall. The weed and feed was on sale which made the purchase even better.

Not always helpful. I went in today with a valve from a plumbing bib. I didn't know if I needed to replace the whole stem. Or just the washer. A worker on his way to the break room. Asked if I needed any help.
And I showed him what I had.
He looked at it instead. Oh I guess you just wanted the guy at the hardware store to remove the screw for you. What I wanted was some advice. I'll replace the whole stem or the washer. He started to look for a screwdriver and then said he would have to take it to the back room. When it came out, he said he couldn't get the screw out and handed me the stem with the screw head all mangled. And he then handed me a whole new bib. And said, well, you'll just have to replace everything.
The old bib is soldered in place. It will be a major hassle to replace it, but after he destroyed that screw head. I have to replace everything. Next time, I will just go to Home Depot umbai. A whole new bib, they're cheaper.

There's always helpful employees to find items, offer advice, help find the best deals on items and I've always been offered help with heavy/ bulky items. It's a very clean store and just the right size to easily find things for most projects. It's much more pleasant than shopping at one of the massive hardware stores; I can get in and out fast instead of wasting time walking a mega store to find what i need. I also find it a great place to find gifts for birders, BBQ and home-brew enthusiasts, gardeners and diy-ers.

ACE is a good value and offers competitively priced products, but Mike and Mike alone brought down their overall rating. He needs an attitude adjustment or to be moved away from customers.

Don't expect good customer service here.
Edit: I've wasted enough of my time trying to patronize this store. Obviously, my time is of no concern to the employees here. A response from the owner doesn't change anything. You can expect poor service.
