Great authentic restaurant! The Seafood with Crispy Rice was delicious and so was the Kung Pao Shrimp. A warning about the Kung Pao Chicken though! We did not know that the dish contains Sichuan Peppercorns which numb your mouth and cause a tingling sensation. My son didn’t enjoy the dish because of them and will definitely get the dish without them next time!

Authentic Sichuan food at its best. You just can’t go wrong with almost anything there. Dry pot is a must.

The restaurant with the worst service on Quan Sheng Road. The waiters chased guests for tips and there was no waiter to greet them during the entire meal. And the portions are very small, I will definitely not come here again.

We went there for lunch after church. It wasn’t too crowded. We ordered malatang for the first time, along with roast duck and sweet and sour pork. Everything was delicious. The service was great. We’ll definitely be back.

My partner and I were excited to try this restaurant based on the other reviews. We had the spicy potstickers, Szechuan short ribs, pepper chicken, and egg rolls. Portion size is not an issue. Service & atmosphere could have been better. We came in at 1:55 on a weekday knowing the restaurant would be closing at 2:30pm. They perked up considerably when we asked for to-go containers after our food arrived and told them we were aware they’d be closing soon. We were aware of the time they closed and just intended to have a quick bite (knowing we’d be in and out) but I feel like we should’ve been met with the same level of customer care from the moment we walked in, not just a positive shift after they knew we’d be leaving before 2:30. There was no music playing and the TV was on but muted so it was quiet in the restaurant and a bit awkward. We just played our own music from a phone so it felt more comfortable. We were not met with a warm welcome and felt a bit rushed, like we were imposing though the restaurant was still open based on the demeanor of our servers. The appetizers were the highlights of our dining experience. Egg rolls were not the flaky kind & you get two in one order with a side of mustard & a side of sweet & sour sauce. I was a big fan of them. The spicy potstickers came 6 in an order and were a decent size. The chili sauce was delicious and we even added the extra sauce from the potstickers to our other dishes.Szechuan Ribs: THIS DISH CONTAINS PEANUTS The Szechuan ribs were a great texture and cooked well. Neither of us had Szechuan prior to this experience so the flavor was good but probably one we’d need to acquire to really love it. Still not bad.Lastly, the pepper chicken. This item comes with white rice. The menu said it came with green and red pepper, so we were expecting bell peppers, not jalapeños. The were a few red bell peppers but A LOT of jalapeños. Too many, really. The dish was spicy but lacked depth of flavor and was very one-note. Adding a sweet element really completed the dish so I’d recommend asking for sweet and sour sauce if you order this dish by itself. All in all, decent experience and I would try them again.

Pretty good. Had the pork knuckle, spicy wontons, eggplant, spicy pork belly dish, szechuan fish. Eggplant and spicy pork belly dishes were the standouts. Prices are a bit high but will probably check it out again.

It was wayyyyy too spicy. Too greasy and oily. The grilled spicy fish way too expensive for its taste. I won’t go back again. My kids didn’t like it and my Girlfriend had some stomach ache after eating it. I’m sorry that was my experience.

ChiliSpot is amazing! The storm fish was was thick, moist pieces of fish in a crispy and highly seasoned batter. Cauliflower dry pot was a bit more subtle in a slightly sweeter sauce which served as a welcome foil to the heat and intensity of the other dishes. What really blew our minds was the dandan noodles because of its delicious sauce! One off the waiters noticed us basically drinking the last of the sauce out of the bowl our dandan had come in and offered to get us extra sauce! So an additional shoutout is owed to the waitstaff for above and beyond service! Also worth noting the portions are super generous and that, despite stuffing ourselves, we came home with a whole bunch of leftovers. We can’t wait to come back!

Extensive family style menu with loads of tasty dishes chock full of chilies. Honorable mentions go to the Dan Dan Noodles, Honey Walnut Shrimp, and Popcorn Chicken but everything we ordered was great. Busy place so there may be a wait but satisfies a spicy food craving.

Absolutely delicious Sichuan food with good portion sizes and that's priced very reasonably. I'm originally from Sichuan and the authenticity of food at Chilispot just brings me back to my childhood. It's rare to find Sichuan food this good in bigger cities like New York and Chicago, and much more so in St Louis. I eat here about once per month and it's one of my most favorite dining out locations.

I would highly recommend going with a group because they'll give you more than your money's worth in food. Love the portion sizes. Get the plum juice and popcorn chicken.
