Use to be nice place. After they got rid off grass and everything is gravel looks so ugly. You have feelings you're in construction area.

We stopped in for the night and it was a great experience for us. Got some much needed sleep and continued on to our destination in the morning ? The owner was very friendly and helpful. Camp site was easy in and out and clean. We will be back on the trip back home.

The Park was clean. The park has only 2 open sites for overnight stays the rest, 33 sites, are for seasonal campers, or as I call them Trail's End sites. We had no antennae TV as the park sits on the side of a little hill near the river. The cable TV did not work as it was split off another line across the park road. My husband asked her about it and she said "I will come down and hook up my little TV and see about it." Never did she come down check it out. We passed her on the park road as we walked our dogs about 3 hours later not a wave not a nod of acknowledgement. The wifi was horrible, we tried to stream a movie over a 2 day period. The signal was poor in the evening and good in morning but still could not download the movie. Never got to the end of it.If you decide to try the place take a book or books.

will never go here again for anything. The old bat ruuning the place was rude and so were her workers. They don't have any prices set nor do they post any regulations. My family of 15 went to rent their equipment and needless to say she missed out on lots of good money due to her attitude and smart remarks. Wouldnt recommend my worst enemy to go to this place nor will I ever give them a single penny. I will not be telling my people about this place either. I hope they lose so much business that they close.

Extremely friendly owner. She was very accommodating and helpful. The grounds and location on the river is beautiful. The bathhouse was closed due to COVID but it was disclosed to us before booking. Didn’t matter to us with our RV but thought it was nice she told us immediately. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

This is the kind of place where you feel even better when you leave than when you arrived. The spots that back up to the river are huge, and the river is peaceful to just sit and watch. Kathy's hospitality is second to none. The park is well maintained. We would love to return just to relax. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely terrible service. Called and reserved two riverfront tent camping sites with electric over two months ago for my wife, my kids, and I. Wanted it for Memorial Day Weekend. It took no shortage of two separate conversations (that lasted over 30 minutes each time) just to get these people to help me reserve the site. I must have spoken to at least three different employees there. After finally reserving it (they call it their "vetting process" (attempts to weed out party-goers), I kept checking my bank account for the deposit to clear. I was becoming concerned that there was some sort of issue, the site wasn't actually being reserved, etc. I had to call them AGAIN just to make sure we were still on for Memorial Day weekend because the deposit didn't clear my bank. They assured me "give it time, we are small, everything is fine". Finally they ran my card, the deposit posted to my account, and we sighed in relief as my family finally had the sites reserved. This morning a woman called me and just nonchalantly said that she had "some bad news". She claimed" "due to a family emergency", they won't be able to house my family and I in the tent sites we reserved (and paid a deposit for) months ago! They said their bath houses and down and they will have to issue us a refund.I had roughly 20 days to secure TWO campsites on the water with electric for Memorial Day Weekend. I have no idea as to how I would be able to pull this off, but after several phone calls I was able to secure an even better location on the water at a camp site that was unbelievably compassionate, understanding, and willing to help. This other camp site saved the day and my family will still be enjoying their holiday vacation.Just being blunt here- I don't think Big Spring Campgrounds had a "family emergency" at all. I think they simply booted my wife and kids for either an RV or some friends of theirs. Might I add- they didn't even bother apologizing. Not once, not at all. A two minute phone call with a "good luck to you" attitude. Good times!I hope they enjoy my scathing (but HONEST) review. They will never see a dime of my money. Hopefully, you won't risk your dime here, either. Avoid this place like the plague.
