“The Rockford Grange Cottage and Ranch is nothing short of magical. The property is expansive, with two large ponds, a spring stocked with trout just behind the house, and a shallow river flowing through the land. The elevated porch with steps leading down to the spring was especially nice for our family since we had little ones with us—it made access to the water much safer and easier.

One of the highlights of our stay was watching both of our grandkids catch their very first fish. By the end of the trip, they considered themselves expert casters! They also loved feeding the fish and the friendly duck that liked to hang around the house.

The cottage itself feels wonderfully nostalgic, like visiting your grandmother’s home as a child, but with tasteful decor and all the cozy charm you could want. It was spacious enough for our group of nine, with plenty of room for everyone to relax comfortably.

The shallow river running through the property was another favorite spot for the kids, who spent hours playing in the water and skipping rocks. While there is no Wi-Fi at the house, we truly enjoyed the chance to unplug, play games together, and soak in the beauty of nature. We were still able to get cell service while sitting outside on the porch.
