We purchased our first vehicle from Modern Auto 20 years ago, and have purchased 3 more from them through the years. We have trusted them with all of our service and body shop needs as well. Due to vehicle shortages, we purchased our most recent ***** vehicle from another dealership, but still used Modern Auto for service pertaining to that vehicle. When after only ****** initial miles on the new vehicle the tires were bald, we were told they used the warranty to have them replaced. In October, my husband hit a large buck with our Trax, and the front of our car was destroyed. We trusted the body shop work to Modern Auto. Intitial estimates suggested $3000+ worth of damage, but later estimates added an additional $4000+. After two weeks we picked up the vehicle with the assurance that it was fixed. That was not the case. After the significant accident no alignment had been completed, and now 4.5 months later we have bands showing on the insides of all four tires. I contacted Modern Auto about the tires and have been given the run around, with the blame being put on everyone except Modern Auto. They even suggested we were to blame for not telling them to do the alignment after the accident. As neither my husband or I are mechanics or body work experts, we deferred to their wisdom in how the repair should be managed. Our trust was misplaced.
