Seemed to overemphasize amount of queer stuff, really wanted a more traditional book store. Actually tired of all the political slant at bookstores. Do they really need pride flags and blm.....lets just focus on books and things that unite us please

Betty's Books is a friendly place. I always get gift cards here for my granddaughters. A great selection of books. Children-friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I've been here twice now and the service and selection is fantastic. The employees helped me pick something out for my two new readers, 1st and 3rd grade daughters. They also recommended something for me as a person who has never ventured into the realm of comics before. On top of that, I could even pre-order a non-fiction book I wanted to read. Really top notch and couldn't recommend an independent bookstore more.

This book store/comic shop is awesome!! I hadn't heard about it until I went there for a zine/comic workshop but it was awesome inside! They have a bunch of cool books and dnd stuff and stickers and just a million things I wanted to buy. Great place to go with friends, to take your kids, to buy gifts, etc!! Lovely shop and lovely people who work there as well

The selection is awesome and the staff are friendly. My toddler and I had a nice time. I browsed while she enjoyed the coloring table. We both left happy with a great new picture book to add to our growing library.

Stopped in here for date night and enjoyed browsing a well-developed collection of graphic novels for all ages. There was quite the assortment in such a small space. The space is warm and inviting (and queer-friendly)- a necessity in a book store, complete with a younger children's section to get cozy and read. We made a few purchases we didn't know we needed. ?? To top it all off, the staff on duty made a dinner recommendation just up the street (Meyou) and it was the best part of our night!

What I love about Betty's Books is how thoughtfully curated their selections are. You can definitely find popular things there, but spend a few minutes browsing and you will find a terrific gem that you had no idea existed!Staff is also both knowledgeable and helpful. They are also highly community minded and plan great activities for all ages on an ongoing basis. If you have not dropped by to browse you are missing out on a real Old Orchard gem.

This is a great place to shop for graphic novels and kids books. I appreciate that they have a well organized teen/adult section. I also appreciate the local authors represented that I likely wouldn't notice otherwise. You can tell the people have a lot of passion.

My absolute favorite book shop in or around St. Louis. Amazing comics selection (with tons of great local books, too), really wonderful and thought-out space, and the staff picks are always fantastic. These folks have a lot of passion for what they do, and it shows. So refreshing to see a comic book shop trying something new in a rapidly evolving industry and thriving as a result ???

Our family loves to visit Betty's books. Our girls are into manga and graphic novels and love the variety that they can find there. They will even order books at they don't have for you.
