Used to be a friendly place for me to go to. The cashier I dealt with today (Alexzander) was either poorly trained or a really bad hire. The entire customer experience with him was poor, despite me being overly polite to him. I won't recommend the store any longer.

Usually I come during the weekdays, and get GREAT customer service from the butcher section. The few times I have come on the weekend to get cuts of steak and salmon I've been met with very unwelcoming energy. I am not sure if this particular butcher is racist to black customers, but every time I come on the weekend this particular butcher huffs and puffs just because I request for a steak to be cut smaller. I have on 2 separate occasions asked for my salmon skin to be cut off, and not ONCE did they remove it. I have not seen them have the same negative energy towards white patrons in the butcher section. All in all, I don't plan on going back.

We have been going here for 20 years and it is our go to place for quality seafood and steaks. Also, Straub's prepared foods can't be beat. You should definitely try the meat loaf and if available, the turkey meat loaf. I could continue, you just need to visit.

The Webster groves location offers a pretty extensive variety of high quality goods, especially considering the space allotted, and by far the most superb customer service of all the locations in our region. Although this store can be intimidating to some, the employees at this location help everyone feel welcome, regardless of Background, socioeconomic status, race, and other factors that can marginalize minorities thereby restricting access to quality food

Straubs is such a next level grocery store. From the time you walk in, you know you're in for a treat with their extremely fresh produce, comfortable ambiance, and super kind customer service. I stopped here in the middle of meetings because I forgot to pack my lunch. I meal prep every week, so I wanted to find something fresh and filling, and Straub's was the answer. Their deli counter is out of this world. The amount of premade options that are available are amazing, and they're made with the freshest ingredients. I decided to go with a combo box for my meal. It came with a small serving of their chicken salad, slices of cheese, and fresh veggies. Their chicken salad is incredible, so it was a no brainer. I got some crackers to go with it, a bottled Diet Coke, and a chocolate covered pretzel. I was able to take a breather in their dining area which was really nice since I didn't have to eat it in my car. They also have a microwave in there for items that need to me warmed up, as well as utensils. This won't be my last impromptu lunch stop :)

Parking is free in their garage. However, unless you are fantastically wealthy and cannot imagine better things to do with your money, then you should not exclusively shop at Whole Foods. However, they bake the best bread and pastries. Their produce is great. And, I love feeling wealthy as I stock up on bread and treat myself to a cookie.

If I could give 6 stars I would. April and her colleagues managed to pull off a Christmas miracle for me and my family this year. After realizing we mistakenly placed our christmas dinner order for the wrong week, April completely took charge of the situation and erased all of the stress, offering me what they could in the moment and options for alternatives for what was not available. I couldn’t be more appreciative of their assistance and patience. Thank you all again for everything!
