Not the case with all Home Depot. Only wentzville. I bought a toolbox in Bloomington, IL. The key broke off in the lock while on job in wentzville. Had to destroy to get open. Went to wentzville tool manager and he said I had to take it up with husky cuz they only took returns on small items from husky. When I called husky (their signature brand by the way) the customer service person at husky told me that was an outright lie I had been told at Home Depot. End result; I paid $140+ for a toolbox that came with an aluminum key. When the key broke 3 weeks later cuz it wasn’t strong enough to turn all it needed to for unlocking drawers lock assembly, I was screwed out of return or compensation because both businesses denied responsibility. I give husky and Home Depot both a negative one star for customer service. They should both deserve if have you fold up their tents!

There was a time when I liked Home Depot quite a bit. That all changed in the spring of last year when I ordered a new washer and dryer. There were a lot of problems with that alone, which were escalated to the corporate office. The thing is, Lowes and Home Depot or close. Until Menards is built in Wentzville, these two are, unfortunately, my local big-chain choices. When I visited Home Depot the other day, I couldn't help but stop, shake my head, and wonder what the world is coming to. They constantly had the forklift vehicle driving around with very loud beeps. Other people were getting visibly annoyed. This is bad enough, but what really gets me is that now they have an employee that walks in front of the vehicle, forcibly waving red flags in each hand. So we have that, along with the annoying, constant beeping. The flag-waver... ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This is way, WAY overboard! Are we living in a nanny state now? I understand the need for safety, but the constant beeping that can be heard through the entire store and a dedicated flag-waver is ridiculous. This is the only place that I have seen do this. What is next? When customers are too d*** to see a slow-moving vehicle with loud noises and a human flag-waver, they may be required to wrap each customer in bubble wrap as they enter the store. Geez

Ordered kitchen appliances. Two came so badly damaged they had to be returned. Second delivery they dropped off appliances but did not hook up or remove old ones that we had paid for. Second fridge had dent also. They rescheduled for hookup and removal for 9 days later. But got a text they were coming today (days earlier). They never showed up. But they did change the date. To even further out! So we still have old and new appliances not hooked up in our living room and kitchen. The delivery warehouse they use is a joke. The tiny refund is a joke. And we will never order another appliance from Home Depot again. The managers at Wentzville were very helpful and nice, but the issue was never resolved. So instead we have to figure out how to hook up ourselves. Find help to move old appliances and fingers crossed it goes well. Definitely did not get what we paid for.

I was VERY disappointed with the lack of customer service yesterday. There was NO one in the garden department to help with my search for a product. I walked back inside and asked an employee where I could find the product. She directed me back outdoors to garden and gave me an aisle number. She said the item was in stock. I walked around looking for that aisle but to no avail. It isn't easy to figure out when few aisles were actually marked. I must have spent another fifteen minutes looking for what I needed. Where are the employees? Beats me. I left in disgust and won't be back. Go to Lowe's, folks.

Great service, but I would recommend keeping appliances in stock for purchase. We found the dishwasher we wanted but nothing is in stock so we went to Lowes who had it in stock. Another customer wanted a fridge and did the same thing. In 30 minutes you lost several thousand dollars, with such high loss due to theft you would think Home Depot would stock major appliances especially when they are on sale. Protip if you shop here for appliances expect to order and wait or just go to Lowes and get it same day.

Purchased a dishwasher to replace an expired one a couple of weeks ago. Installation was scheduled for late yesterday, November 23rd. Store or delivery folks called yesterday afternoon to inform us no can do due to ill staff. Interesting staff getting ill in the afternoon the day before their Thanksgiving break. Appliance manager at store spoke with my wife, said he would try to solve the problem, called, said he couldn't. We cancelled the purchase. I've purchased a lot of little and big ticket items from nuts and bolts, to electric tools, to appliances, to lawn tractors from Home Depot. No more. I'm taking my business elsewhere from now on. Going out looking for that dishwasher this p.m. Apparently HD has too much business. I can help them with that.

Absolutely terrible. They had awful customer service. The worker was on their phone, told me to "hang on" I'm understanding, maybe something was going on. The cashier actually rolled her eyes at me when I came to the register, just to ask if I could get help. So I work retail, I get it. But this was ridiculous. I'm not going to gain nothing from this, I just want people to have an ounce of work ethic.

Ordered a dishwasher. Didn't know about the 48 hr return but did see the 30 day return. AFter 2 hrs being misled by Jeff, store manager, who said he would take care of me, he gave me the run around after I told him the problem with it not fitting in our space. Not the fault of measurements, weird placement of water lines by plumber. I spoke to Home Depot Online support who called Jeff & he refused to take back the d/w & would not call me back. I understand the "hit" on store

Ordered a washer and dryer. The wrong washer was ordered, nothing could be done short of waiting for the refund to appear on the card and order again. So I just accepted it would be what it would be. Then my delivery never happened, I had to contact the store to find out my delivery date had been rescheduled THREE WEEKS LATER. I promptly cancelled my order. Two weeks later and no refund still. Called the store and they had to call the manufacturer to cancel the order there. So I had to call them to get them to do their job twice. I should’ve been informed the original delivery date was moved- not have to find this out myself. When a customer cancels an order, it should get all the way cancelled, I shouldn’t have to call again to make sure it’s actually cancelled. I will never ever buy any appliance from Home Depot ever again. Ever.

First off the sales team here is great they are always willing to help you and they are very knowledgeable on what their store has to offer. But after that it drops off drastically customer service is the worst I've ever seen. If you have something wrong the only hope you're going to get it and I'm sorry! I would not recommend sending any of my friends or family to this Home Depot

I typically don’t leave reviews but I feel that this is needed. October 10th we had a deep freezer delivered and an old fridge taken away. Only my mother was home and upstairs during the delivery while I was out. I came back 2 hours or so after the delivery and noticed my PlayStation 4 was taken including the controller and headset. My father reached out to Home Depot and we found out that they hired a 3rd party vendor to handle the delivery. We found the company and they are

Today Home Depot was extremely busy. My family was waiting in line at the customer service counters to return a product. The employee named Alexis handled being treated poorly by other customers with grace. She worked quickly under pressure.

I enjoy shopping here. Workers are very guest oriented. Keeps shelves stocked and clean. Always knows what tools and advice I might need to finish whatever home project I got myself into and from what I see is also very helpful with contractors.
