Countryside Pet Supply
2813 US-160, West PlainsI bought an in wall doggie door from this business in November and I just got it installed today. It was an open box when I bought it but it was brand new and they gave me a good discount on it. When my handyman was finishing the install he said that it had been used. I looked at it and everything was brand new except for one flap that was very dirty and broken at the bottom. It looked obvious to me that the previous customer had pulled a scam on this business and had taken the new flap off and put the old used one back on and then returned it to the business. I called Brandon and explained the situation to him. He made it right without hesitation and without question. This is a very honest business and I highly recommend them. I will definitely be doing business with them in the future. Thank you Brandon for running such an honest and upstanding company.

Pet Care

Animal Clinic of West Plains
1101 MO-17, West PlainsWe were in from out of town and in urgent need of a vet for a dog we rescued. Dr. Buenger fit us in! Everyone at the clinic was compassionate and treated Pebbles like a queen.
Dr. Buenger is a very knowledgeable vet. She took time to actually talk to us and give Pebbles the time and attention she needed. Never once did we feel rushed!
We are so thankful for her and her staff. Anyone in the area, we highly recommend having her provide care for your furry family!!

Priority Pet Care of the Ozarks
3001 Porter Wagoner Boulevard, West PlainsWe've spent the past 5 months at two other local vets with no answers, but alot of money spent. Finally, we decided to look into someone different and found Priority Pet Care. From the minute we got there, the experience was better than anywhere else. Dr. Gunter started from the beginning and went step by step through every possible diagnosis. He was calm, compassionate, educated, and did a great job of keeping us informed the entire time. At no point did we feel like our dog was a burden or that we were being rushed out of there. At the prior vet we literally felt like he was just waiting for our dog to die so he could be done with us. We finally got a diagnosis and while it wasn't one we had hoped for, Dr. Gunter and his entire staff were compassionate and so good with our dog. He explained our options and didn't hesitate to offer his opinion on dealing with the end of life care for our dog. We absolutely would recommend his office again and again. This is where all our pets will go from here on out.

West Plains Veterinary Clinic
1716 US-160, West PlainsThey took very good care of our fur baby. He had cancer and they helped us with his end of life care. They did rush us and did a great job with him. And do a great job with the dog we have now. I will soon be taking my goats to him as well. I never want to go to a different vet.

Pet Sitting & Training

Maggie's Farm Pet Boarding
2076 State Rte BB, West PlainsI love the facility's because my two big fur babies can be in the same run, they have their own dog food(for when I forget to bring my own, lol), and it stays clean. They will work with you and give your pet medicine if needed. The one bad thing i have to say isn't even about the facility itself. It is about their own dog that is usually outside when we get there. Last time I was there, that poor dog had a few decent sized ticks on it. I pulled a couple of I could get, but it shouldn't have any ticks or fleas(not that I saw any) especially when you deal with other people's pets. To me, in a way, that dog should/is an example for that facility. I will add that otherwise that dog is healthy. I will also say that I have never ever had any issues with my pets after coming home or anything, but I also treat them every month. In conclusion, overall the facility itself is great, but their own pet needs flea and tick meds. I would still use this facilty because of how clean they are, etc. as long as they still allow me too.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Sapz Thai Kitchen
929 Preacher Roe Boulevard, West PlainsMy daughters and I had a great lunch at Sapz Thai! We were seated immediately and decided to share the wonton soup, the mixed vegetables with chicken and an order of the steamed dumplings. My 8 month old loved the dumplings and the soup and my 3 year old devoured the chicken and wontons! Service was spot on and it was affordable for a family. The owners were so kind and they took turns holding my baby who was enamored by them both! Definitely a family friendly place to come have lunch. Doesn’t hurt that it’s also in the same shopping center as The Kid Community!
