Thronson's General Store, established in 1924, is a nostalgic, tidy, and genial stop right outside Glacier National Park. It is an actual general store with a huge variety of things, from soup to nuts. It offers a little bit of nearly everything, including real fresh food like meats, fresh whole milk, and quality produce for cooking meals, alongside an assortment of sundries, camping supplies, canned goods, home goods, and ice cream. It is well worth a stop for travelers between Glacier and Waterton Lakes, even just to admire the vintage decor and memorabilia or browse the new-to-you section. The service is very friendly, helpful, and genial, with reasonable prices. Attached to the store is a motel, noted for being very clean, updated, and offering a quality stay with recently remodeled rooms. A small but good cafe is located across the street. The store is open daily from 7am to 9pm.
Established in 1924, this nostalgic, tidy, and genial general store is well worth a stop, even if it's just to admire the vintage decor and memorabilia. We were able to get groceries for dinner and fresh produce for breakfast. We also appreciated browsing their new-to-you section.

Best place to go for groceries if you're on the east side of glacier

Well-assorted but kinda small store. Prices are okay.
