We were on vacation in Bozeman and decided to stop at GFC to see if we could get a couple of new latches that were broken on our GFC. Thomas was just finishing up with another vehicle and came out to look at the latches. After realizing the new latches were at the other store, Thomas closed up shop and escorted us to the other store. Not only did he give us latches, but he installed them for us on the side of the road on an extremely hot day!

I was driving through Bozeman Montana, and had a catastrophic failure on my old rooftop tent from another brand. These guys went the extra mile to install a new go fast camper rooftop tent with short notice. I cannot recommend them enough.

The GFC rips it up at 90 mph (140 km/h) on Interstate 90. It even gets better mileage with it on the back. It handles -40°C during Alberta winter camping (Note: Alberta is also known as Montana’s stepbrother) and holds up against the insane rain of the Pacific Northwest. The two locks on the door come in handy in Canadian grizzly country—for running cords or allowing airflow. Rad company with Rad employees. Very helpful and engaged staff. Enjoy Camping!!!

Wouldn’t recommend buying a GFC anymore… customer service has dropped off a cliff. No one responds to emails, orders are sent missing parts/instructions, and they never live up to their lead times. This is in addition to the multiple issues I’ve had with my V2 camper… i.e. water ingress into the tent (wet mattress), glass window popping out, locks seized up (sides & tent), and corrosion/discoloration of their aluminum.
Still waiting to hear back on something simple…

My husband had GFC install a new V2 camper on his Ford Super Duty at their Belgrade, MT facility In Oct., 2022. After arriving home in Florida, obvious the unit was leaking in multiple areas. We submitted 5 GFC Service/Warranty Requests. Many pictures and descriptions submitted were completely ignored. He received a few spare parts (tape an fabric) and some advice. After countless hours of effort, he has managed to stop a few leaks but camper is a true lemon and will always have water in it. We sent a detailed letter to everyone in management at GFC in June, 2024 and received absolutely no reply from anyone at GFC. Finally, we submitted a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in October, 2024. GFC finally responded to the BBB once but ignored their follow up request for information. As GFC is not a member of the BBB, they have no obligation to respond. As a result, the complaint has subsequently been closed. My experience with GFC has been one of extremely poor customer service. They do not stand behind their product.

I've taken my GFC across the country. My wife and I lived out of it for a month and half while on the road. Not once were we anything other than astonished by the brilliant engineering in our camper and quality of experience afforded by it. The GFC camper sets up so quickly and easily that it promotes spontaneous trips and more nights exploring.
Besides the camper itself, the service provided at the GFC HQ by Matt and Finn was truly world-class. These two went above and beyond in helping us prepare for our road trip. The HQ is a super welcoming place to hang during install too, with great drinks and snacks!

Day of install spent 3 nights at Occonechee State Park. Best sleep besides my own bed! Looking forward to using it in the winter and really put it through the wringer.

TERRIBLE company and products. Owned for a little more than two years and I am constantly finding flaws. Water intrusion into camper and topper portion, locks freezing, rear window falling out. You would think it was Atleast usable in Montana winters where they are headquartered, but the locks freeze anytime it snows at all. Very disappointed. For a product that’s this expensive and supposedly rated for off road use, it sure seems poorly made.Each time I’ve sent in warranty requests they somehow miss them. Only to tell me there’s an issue with the email system. I’ve showed up for warranty repairs that they scheduled for me, but forgot to schedule with their employees. Then they tell me that they’ve made updates to fix those issues on new campers. (Previous purchasers never contacted to remedy those issues.) still an ongoing issue with venting the camper/tent, with no solution in sight.Save your money, spend the extra elsewhere to get a quality product from Four Wheel Campers or Super Pacific….

I absolutely love my GFC. I camp alone with my dog and it could not be an easier set up! The entire process was a great experience from ordering to installation. Thank you GFC for creating such a great adventure product.
