“I have a Stainless Steel Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt. I had issues with the base pin slipping out of the detent, and moving forward under recoil, tying up the gun. I ordered a Standard Locking Base Pin From Belt Mountain.In addition to being slightly larger in diameter, it has a cut through the pin that has more bearing surface against the locking detent. Compared to the factory pin, that has the detent turned in the entire diameter, and only bears on the tangent point of the pin. And it contains a screw that can be tightened, locking it in place. My problem was instantly solved by the use of this pin.”
